even before the money grubbing tactics really sunk in I'd struggled with gaia gold and never had more than 700k despite efforts in zOMG and BG then HOC.

But they got rid of or nerfed those. Asking a ridiculous amount for pixels just because they made it rare. what was it, $100? $1, 000? for angelic halo of real life money? That's ridiculous.

Then they had to add club verge. because this site was a wreck before but oh! It needed classism to tip itself over the balance.

One or two gold sinks won't fix the inflation..it might alleviate some of the issues but, seriously..
It's become crazy.
I tried to by a typically 'super cheap' item a few days ago and..let's just say it's not 'super cheap' anymore 8'D

I've been on Gaia for a grand total of 3 days and I'm already getting fed up with the pop up adds that are asking me to throw $50 at them for a SINGLE item that is used for nothing but appearance on my avatar.

I don't like to complain, but that's pretty horrible.. Like going to a convention and getting that annoying guy that walks out of his stand and tries to hawk his overpriced, useless crap at you. You tell him you don't want it, but he just won't take no for an answer.. And I assume, just like the annoying guy, Gaia does it to every single person that goes by whether they look remotely interested or not.

I mean.. At least tailor the adds to people's interests or what they seem to like to buy or something. Better yet, make these ads so you can say "do not show me this ad again." If I wasn't interested the first 5 times, the ad getting shoved in my face another 5 times is not gonna change my mind.

Won't say I won't spend money on Gaia Cash, but if things keep on their current path of Gaia hawking it's junk at me, whether it's something I'd like or not, then I might take that pledge to not buy ANY Gaia Cash.

I know that, but as I said before in reply to dreamsk, they still have no real reason to ignore the many complaints and skyrocketing MP prices.

Both Sisky and Uncle Kenny are working on gold sinks.

So I don't see how they're ignoring complaints.

I dont think its a gold generator as much as the artists get a copy of the item they create. Other devs and admins might actually get lump sums of gold/items donated to them from users.

Why anyone would donate to one of them is beyond me. And while all that may very well be true, it still means they've been in the MP and have no rational reason to ignore the ever-obvious Flynnflation.

As well, how do you know they dont spend their own money working at the site and purchase things in the CS? They could have a 25% employee discount.

Again, that is not a reason for them to ignore the Flynnflation.

I cannot understand what the point is. Is Gaia asking $50 for a user to have an item sold to them exclusively? Or is Gaia asking $50 to conduct a site-search and see available quantity and price?

I never said it was 'magical'. I have yet to be given proof that they don't have gold generators.
