I just got a pop up for a "sale," and that is definitely the last straw. Not only that, but it appears on every main page (Home, My Gaia, etc.)

Also saw a "sale" for a single item that would equate to $400, and that is just insane. For a single item that you could have gotten for less than $5 when it was first released. (I think it was from the Chance Items, but It was during the summer sale, I think.)

Haven't given Gaia a single penny for a few years now. Probably never will again. In the mean time, I'll keep reading up on these changes. (But really, the inventory arranger would be really nice now? Also, changing Guilds to the new Forum model. Signatures get really messed up in there.)

— An apology for not doing something about inflation sooner

THIS. I know we need a lot of things right now, and everything on the list is pretty much valid.
However, this one. This one right here just seals the deal, at least for me.
I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way, while change and goldsinks would be GREAT right now, a formal APOLOGY would be GODSEND.

Someone needs to admit to the fact that someone's terrible business decision(s) completely ******** the Gaian economy inside out and backwards.
Admitting that they screwed up isn't the only step, but it's a big step in the right direction and it's honestly something they should be working on FIRST above everything else.

I've been on Gaia for many years now and seen it through many cycles and changes. Some have been positive, some have been negative. I've never had an issue with the improvements and errors along the way to create something better, because I've had faith that it will be corrected.

There have been pages and pages of things people have said which I feel I cannot add to, its all been said.

But for once, I will say my piece anyways, because I feel that only with sheer numbers can a more accurate accounting be made on how this recent change has affected us.

I have no faith in this site, which seems to feel we must all be bleeding money. And no, I am not forced to buy anything, I resent having to see it flash on my screen and choke it down every time I go to my Gaia homepage. It feels like some sort of emotional, mind-numbing exploitation. Over and over and over again.

What felt barely manageable before, is just a joke now as looking at the MP reduces onlookers to giggles of incredulousness, or outright sputtering rage.

I can't keep up, and now I can't even pretend to keep up.

Its just sad. Really, it kinda breaks my heart with this change. I hope a new change happens very soon, one that will correct the path to a better site.

Man, I am questing the shy gardener.. and it was "only" 250k a month and a bit ago.
Now it's 800k+. neutral This inflation is such a b***h.

Not to mention being informed nearly every single day about some overpriced $50 item is annoying as s**t.

A few weeks ago Faustine's Bottle was around 2 mil, maybe slightly over.

Now I've saved up to 4.5 mil and I still can't buy it. Every time I get just enough gold to buy it, it's already gone up by half a mil again. I just don't get how Gaia can keep denying this inflation. In AtA they stated that they have to work for the gold on their accounts just like us, how do you not notice the inflation, then? Are these people even using their accounts?

That's a lie. Now maybe the forum assistants and such don't have them, but I KNOW that the higher-ups have gold generators. You can tell by what they wear, not even the most rich average Gaian has as many expensive items as some of those who are higher up wear. Really. gonk

You can add my name as well. I'm just tired of seeing Gaia try and force feed the users crap like this. We've told them we don't like it, told them that we don't want it, but they just keep shoving it at us as if expecting we'll suddenly change our minds. The only reason I get on anymore is to talk to the friends I've made on this site. Everything else is just degrading into a giant pile of s**t, and it doesn't seem like Gaia cares at all.

So I don't see how they're ignoring complaints.

As well, how do you know they dont spend their own money working at the site and purchase things in the CS? They could have a 25% employee discount.
