Thank you for fixing the 'edit button'. I just want to let you know that it doesn't work after a new contest has begun; only during the submission phase. Would you mind making it so that it works, no matter what phase you're in, if possible.

One thing I'm thinking is, can we have some indication of what week a entry is in? When people link to it and it says "This is not open for voting" I've no idea if it's not open because it's finished or not open because it hasn't started.

i placed first in week 44 and still have not received my winnings, i've PMed both pirula and panagrammic about this and haven't heard anything back about it. i've heard from other winners that week that haven't gotten their winning from that week as well.

i hope this gets resolved before the devs stop working on the arena altogether.

so, because 75% of the site consists of braindead narutards, i should get an automatic win just for throwing together a naruto cosplay? i don't think so. even in the old arena, i got mighty sick of seeing goddamn pokemans in the top 10 every week, but pokemans are popular, so people vote for pokemans regardless of the quality of the cosplay itself or the quality/originality of cosplays competing with it. i don't believe there is a way to do it automatically, but i think if a top 10 entry is the same character as a top 10 entry from the previous 3 weeks, it should be skipped and the award should go to the next in line. maybe that will encourage people to consider cosplays outside of "OMGZ NUHROOTOZ R AWSUM!!1!"

What if I said "yes your should get an automatic win for cosplaying Naruto". What then, huh? In fact, if you cosplayed Naruto well, I would say you deserved an auto-win.
You know, i've never seen a "bad" Naruto cosplay win the arena. They're all rather good. Same with Pokemon. They win the arena, but they're not bad.
Naruto cosplayers have a legion of Naruto haters to downvote them. To win despite that is a pretty big accomplishment, wouldn't you say?
Naruto does not take up half the arena. There are many cosplays outside Naruto in the arena, even this week. If you want some variety in cosplays, have some encouragement from me. Do something different. Get your pals to do something different. You're encouraged, go go go.

Arenas are...meh-glitchy. But, since most, if not all of the glitches have been mentioned, here's my one main complaint. Below an entry, it shows the user's headshot, with a drop-down menu, like in the forums. The problem is, in the arenas, we can't just click the headshot to see the profile. It's minor, but when you're going quickly, it's fairly annoying.

*edit-this has also become a problem in profiles. Intentional or not, please get it out-it is very annoying.

I'd like to stress how nice it would be to see in-progress ranking, only on our own entries. It's really helpful to know when a boost of advertising is going to make a real difference in your final placing.

Larger description boxes would also be excellent. For those of us who like to credit the artists responsible for inspiration or sig art we have very little space left to describe our entry.

And lastly it would be great if we could have a pop-out expansion of inspiration art. The code used for the voting of Item Design Contests would be sublime, where the art stays in-window but just pops up bigger. If the in-the-running avatars were made bigger to show detail then it would be nice to be able to actually have that detail compared to our original/inspiration.

Lastly, submissions should be editable throughout the process. The avatar can shift to uneditable during voting, but the description should be adjustable in order to address concerns/common comments and such. And if voting hasn't begun then the entrance fee should be refunded upon withdrawal.

I'm sure people have complained about this before, but the avi's winning in the avi arena? =/
There's either a glitch, or your system is wrong. My guess is that you go with the highest rating over all correct?
But that doesn't work so great when the avi only gets maybe 1 vote and it's a 5 star vote while other avi's are getting tons of votes that probably keep them from a perfect 5.
Then again, I don't know how the system works, but SOMETHING has to be done. Please and thank you.

Thank you so much for the work you have put into the arena! heart I noticed this week that the spotlight and the "next" avatar seem to be randomizing very well.

My only major request would be to also randomize the All tab. Because the same avatars are featured there all week, there is still the problem where those are getting well over 700 votes while the average for everyone else is less than 100.

Also, I think it would be super if we could see what our ranking is, even if we aren't in the top 100.

I never entered in the old arena, but from what I remember people telling me, it use to show you your ranking if you were in the top 500. Maybe they should do that rather just rank the top 100.

There have been some recent avatars who in my opinion didn't deserve to win. I think it was last week when someone won 1st place with only 5 points. Was this some kind of hack or just a bug?
