Whenever something cool is suggested or is seen that's the only way they can think of giving them to us.

Let's point out that the "sister site" probably has better web designers than the ones we have.

That's hardly true. Yeah, a lot of the multi-pose items are released in the CS or in RIGs, for obvious reasons, and there are more CS updates than GS updates. But the Victorian set was begged for in large. By rights, they could have easily released them in the CS. They're of stunning quality and detail and in high demand. The recent GS updates gave Josie a larger role, which many people wanted. The entire Chinese set was also a very popular request. There was one whole thread dedicated to the hair chopsticks. They also look gorgeous. And tons of people wanted the skinny jeans in many colours. They made a fairly cheap set of versatile 'normal' clothes in a wide range of colours.

Yes, they release a lot of items in EIs or RIGs, but that doesn't mean they never put nice or suggested items into GS updates, too.

And I don't know about the better web designers bit. Despite people hating the new navigation here because it's so different, it's not bad web design. For that matter, 70% of the sister site uses Gaia's design almost to a T.

I agree the sister site looks amazing. While I get the feeling they will be in RIGs, knowing how greedy gaia is. Now I am kinda skeptical if I should join there or not without the feeling of getting attacked there from the common people from the sister site...The dresses there are so lovely I so want them...but I have a feeling though they share our stuff, they'll never let us share theirs.

I've seen the items posted.. but I haven't read through the entire thread to see if anyone posted them on an actual avatar.
I made an account, using Google Translate to help me along a bit, though the registration page is a a**..
Anyways, these items I'm showing below..
WHY do they look better then a lot of our gold shop items?
Why do their shoes look like they were made for real feet while ours looks like someone cut our ******** feet in half with a hatchet?
Some of their items that look to be remakes of ours look even cleaner then some of our items..
And a LOT of recolors.. s**t that we've been asking for, for a LONG time.. yet they get them before us?

I agree with that. I guess I'll have to get a translator, doesn't matter if it's good or not. (I personally use babelfish) and join, though some of us can't speak Chinese, to me, I think it might be a good start to try somewhere else, foreign or not. I understand about fair trade though, but my skepticallity about the items from there to here will probably still haunt me until we get a definite answer. We'll just see what happens from there.

Indeed only time will tell. Even though rumors are going around that maybe thats what the gold shop global import was for, to transure some of their items to that shop. we can only but sit and wait since that sight is only two months old.
