I appreciate everyone being proactive in keeping this at the top of the page, but I'm pretty sure staff will never address this issue again and that Zero probably spoke out of turn when he even posted.

I could be wrong and this is all purely speculation but that's how I feel now. :c

It's how I feel too, no worries. I felt tat way when the OM invasions happened and I abandoned the account because it was flooded and I didn't feel like deleting anymore.

Quite honestly I only come online to do two things, bump important SF threads like this and dress up my avi. That's it. I'm not lying. I tried the MP game a couple days ago and gawd it was a horrid experience.

I'm actually probably going to leave this place by the end of the week. I paid to beta a site and it opens on the 24th and I hope it's a better home than here has been. Quite honestly I'm just really sad with how Gaia's turned. Probably will be my last avatar site as others I've joined and rejoined are either inactive or elitist/clique.

From what I understand, Gaia Staff has mules (which are LOADED with gold) that were secretly pumping gold back into the system by purchasing expensive-a** items?

Does that sound right?

I haven't been online, but I kind of figured there'd be a lack of response. I have access to better equipment now, so I can better check out options for what can be done. There seems to be direct effects on the MP too. So maybe Gaia decided to no longer be subtle about messing around with the marketplace to force sales.

Basically all I do on this site is dress up my avatar and check SF to see if any more scandals have happened. At this point I'm just waiting for the mass exodus of users and for Gaia to close its doors for good. I've given up on Gaia turning around. I don't see this site lasting more than a few more years at best, so I'll stick around 'til the bitter end just to watch it happen. I'm sure at that point the SF will be FILLED with "I told you so!" threads directed at Gaia and this mess they've created of a once very enjoyable site.

That's basically it. It was "test gold" they poofed onto some mule accounts, and they've dumped HUNDREDS OF TRILLIONS of this "test gold" into the economy via these secret mules. One of the mules was "outed" pretending to be a regular user and going into a long song & dance in PM -- it was pretty funny, but embarrassing for them, I'm sure. It would also be way too embarrassing for them to get on here and talk about what they did, so they 're all hiding in shame now. biggrin

Yeah that's all I do. It's sad because even if we did get a complete change in management the site's already been damaged. They would have to completely revamp everything for people to even consider coming back since so much trust and damage has been done.

Yeah I imagine the SF will be filled with that. I would be one of those people because let's face it, the ones who still support Gaia are definitely in denial of what's going on or they just don't care that Gaia's headed toward a road of corruption and I would gleefully (because I am tired of their same consistent argument of how Gaia's fine and dandy) do it.

But in truth I have no love for this site. I never really did as I was burned out by the forums and the only safe haven is the SF at this point and even that is currently being ruined by the dumbest responses I've seen lately. I'm just happy some certain people are no longer posting here or I'm just missing them entirely but fine by me.

Oh, that's sad. He was one of the last remaining cool devs Gaia had working there. Maybe he just got moved over to tentacl or something. Or maybe he doesn't want to be known as a dev on here -- who could blame him.
