Mego frowned, stroking her stomach that held her unborn child. She had spent many nights worrying about her husband, had even cried on the occasion as she couldn't tell Masamune about their second child. Even Hidemune could sense something off about his father and had spent most of his nights resting with his mother. Sighing, Mego stood from her bed, strapping her pistols to her thighs as she always had and left to once again confront her husband. The frustration began to boil inside of her as her memories of him brushing her off time and time again returned to her. Growling in frustration, she took hold of one of her pistols as she approached the stables, finger gently tapping the trigger until her husband came into view. She scowled, shooting said pistol once close to her husband to gain his attention and, hopefully, not lose it.

"Masamune, I've had enough! Stop running away from me and brushing me off! I want to know what's bothering you and to finally tell you the wonderful news that you've yet to let me say!"

She felt as if she would shed more tears again, but blinked them away. Lowering her pistol to her side, she waited to see if Masamune would even give her the time of day.

Masamune looked away from while he listened to his worried wife, he was in horrible shape, it was evident he was exhausted, and that he hadn't bathe in days, even then he lost weight too from the lack of eating. After Mego finished her sentence. Masamune turned his back as if to walk away but he heard the woman began to cry and that what stopped him he turned around and proceeded to his wife.

Shingen looked over at Wu Ji and said, "Yes, go and assist Liu Bei at Nagashino and be sure to take the castle before he does. If Liu Bei wants to reclaim land that is his, then I shall do the same. Take what you think is necessary, the Takeda Calvary are at your disposal." The crimson clad Daimyo turned his attention to Kenshin. "I hope your right about this Kenshin." Shingen grumbled in a low tone.

Zhou Yu said sternly, while stepping into the Council room. He had been eavesdropping since they moved from the dinning hall and caught all of the conversation. The Wu strategist carried a stern look to match Ce's aggravated state of mind as he moved to stand beside his best friend. Looking over at Diao Chan, Zhou Yu said, "Lady Diao Chan, a pleasure as always. I hope that trouble doesn't accompany you here to Hei Fei." Zhou Yu had folded his arms over his chest in similar fashion to Sun Ce.

Sakon looked back at Ce with as much of an serious look as he was given, and told the man his story of meeting Diao Chan, the incidents of her stay at Ueda, of Chen Gong's attempt to blackmail Diao Chan to return with Lu Bu, her stay with the Toyotomi, and at last their arrival upon Wu.

"Listen Sun Ce, I realized I could be making a mistake at the moment, however, I would never have done this unless I did not think it through or deem it right. The truth is I love Diao Chan, despite of her reputation for being a twisted manipulator, upon the first time I met her I realized there was more to her then her stories of her beauty, and her turning Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu on one another. I saw she wasn't even filled with any malice but of kindness and caring then anything, despite what you and everyone else believes she wants peace and happiness just as much as we all do and I intend to give it to her."

Motioning for his best friend to follow him, he left the room. Diao Chan frowned a bit, not liking where this situation could be going.

Yoshitsugu upon his palanquin observed his daughter's smile and couldn't help but to smile himself, of course he knew why she was happy but shrugged the thought of talking about it more, he rather chuckled and said goodbye to his daughter.
"Now Aki your brother will always watch over you when hes not though be careful and think, be mindful this is your first mission with me not there to help you so please be safe. I know I'm rough on you at times but you know my true feelings. Now goodbye my daughter good luck and making alliances with the Takeda and Uesugi, and good luck with that other thing too, remember it won't be as easy as you think my daughter but surely then your mother knew that anything you would like to add Mitsunari?"

She'd never let me leave if I did. I need to see Hideyoshi. He got up as if nothing was wrong, though his wounds burned and bit at his nerves. He didn't disturb Matsu, but instead left to check on his soldiers, telling a servant to fetch him some water on his way.

How long had she been awake?

Xiao-Xing lay on her futon, staring at the ceiling above her. It has been an hour since she has decided tor retire for the day, and sleep hasn't overcome her yet. It couldn't be helped that Megohime's words still troubled her up till now.


"Xiao, you understand when I say that if Magoichi hurts Gracia I'll have to kill him, right? She's far, too innocent to have her heart broken over that man."

Those words haunted Xiao-Xing's mind, and they never seem to disappear to the back of her mind when she wanted to .Why? why would Megohime have to resort to killing Magoichi? It wasn't that she actually cared for the man (not like she will ever be). But the thought alone seems inhumane in the eyes of Xiao-Xing. Yes,she had to admit, even if she disliked Magoichi for all she cares, she still had a heart.

Sighing, she sat up on her futon and brushed a hand through her hair. A ride out in the dark would seem to help clear up her mind about the troubling thoughts. With that in mind, she stood up and reached for her clothes and her hooded cloak which lay neatly next to her. The moment she finished dressing up, she placed the hood over her head and quietly exited her room.

She quietly passed by the hallways of the castle, guided only by a few lanterns being lit here and there. It was unusually quiet, something that Xiao-Xing was never accustomed to. It wasn't long when she finally reached near the vicinity of the stables. Guided by the moonlight, Xiao-Xing quietly entered the stables. Just as she did though, she heard a gunshot. Quickly, as if instinct told her so Xiao-Xing jumped into a nearby pile of hay to conceal herself. An intruder? she thought, until she heard a rather familiar voice.


"Masamune, I've had enough! Stop running away from me and brushing me off! I want to know what's bothering you and to finally tell you the wonderful news that you've yet to let me say!"

Xiao-Xing knew that that voice belonged to Megohime, but the tone was nothing of the Megohime she knew. As their conversation progressed on, Xiao-Xing felt her stomach churn. She was very well aware that this was a conversation she shouldn't privy herself in, but at the same time, there was no way that she could ever leave the stables without getting caught in this position. The only thing she could do is stay still, and hope that they have no idea that she was there.
