Thank you so much for the help Koko! heart I fixed the tail of my gradient now and it seems to be working fine. The code you gave me made something funky happen with my profile after I added my hex code and url. o.o I typed up my own code again and it seemed to work. I'm unsure how it will look on someone else's screen though. I only have a laptop with a 15" monitor so compared to those giant 20"+ screens thing's may look different. I just hope I made the pattern long enough so the stars won't suddenly cut off and look weird. XP

You're so welcome, Elegant! Anytime! heart
Did you use the first post or second one on my mule? I'm pretty sure it worked fine with the
code I used for my mule. I messed up on my other post. xD I forgot the url and was too lazy to edit.

It should look fine. 3nodding The color may vary on different browsers, but it should flow right.
It doesn't matter how long it is as long as you cut off at a correct place, so it blends right into the background color.

You have one huge monitor...!!! If you are finished creating your profile, I'll tell you if I see anything strange with the gradient. 3nodding

Absolutely wonderful guide! heart
I'm much too incompetent to make my own profiles, but if my coding skills were higher than that of a goldfish (the cracker, not even the fish ninja ), I'm sure this would've been even more helpful. xD
Just was confused with something simple, and this perfectly cleared it up!
:'D
Thank you for taking the time to make it~

I don't believe you. xD <3 You just need to work at it as I told many others.
If you need more clarification, drop a note.

Thank you for visiting and your support. 3nodding <333333 ; _____ ;

Actually I tried both codes, the first one and the second one. o.o

Really? o.o I didn't think 15" was very big for a laptop monitor. DX All the ones I see these days are huge, and the desktop ones are even bigger then that. XP I'll cry when I get a desktop and have to learn to deal with the hugeness of the screen.

The profile is still not quite done. I'm nailing more lose thing's into place and praying they stay together. x.x; Which leads me to my next problem. For some reason whenever I tell the comment's header to move it won't leave the top of the comment box. I was able to move my about section header just fine. o.o **fixed xD

THIS is what I have. THIS is what I am trying to do. And THIS is what I keep getting.

See the headers?

I can't get them to move up without cutting them off.

Alright it's not me that has the problem but a few other people ...but the issue is bothering me because i can't figure out where it is!

I have been working with the code for days trying to figure where it is and what is causing it...

There is a strange greyish line at the upper part of the profile that doesn't seem to belong to anything ... I checked the content border and the extendedProfileBody header, and every one has set it to 0px or none. I played around with it and the line is in the same place that the content border is, but it's above it ...

It's puzzling me that i can't figure out where it is and how to get rid of it ...

if ANYone knows where that line is coming from let me know ... it's just for reference ... and it's bothering me O_O''
Thank you very much miss. ^.^"
This guide is lovely. Maybe I'll make my own profile one day. It's so aesthetically pleasing too.
this guide is absolutely amazing!
I could stare at your profile for hours aswell O w O;;;
great work!

Absolutely beautiful guide!
Looks good, and super easy to use, with plenty of information to create amazing profiles.

When I finish my profile (which i'm sure is only a matter of time now i've found this ;o), you can be sure that i'll link to it <3 )

Be proud of yourself @3@

one tiny mention, the bit that links to the thread on creating custom sections is actually linked to imageshack! just thought i'd mention it.

Bleh I have encountered a few problems with my comments section I haven't been able to fix.

1. I've been trying to move the name link for the commentators to the right side of the comment, below the date bar. Sadly it won't move no matter what type of instructions I give it. I've tried text-align: right, margin-left and adding position: absolute. Nothing seems to make it move.

2. I'm having a similar problem like the one mentioned above with my add/view comment links. I haven't been able to move them to the right side of the page. I tried a few of the same ways stated above of moving them. They won't budge.

2. If I move the date bar any lower it will start to cover the message left by the commentator. >> I'm unsure what I can do to ensure it doesn't do that. Would padding help me?

Sorry for all the questions. They probably have a really obvious answer that's under my nose that I just can't see. XP <3

      "If you find a reliable one, use it.
      Please be reminded. Firefox doesn't support cursor imports. IE, however,
      does.

      : 3"

      well am I the only one that see a cursor on this profile http://www.gaiaonline.com/profiles/?u=14755070
      sorry if this counts as name dropping redface && 'm using FF.. surprised
User Image

Well if it helps, I can see the cursor as well and I use Firefox. o_____o;;

*Cough Cough* I'm definitely not the owner of this thread, but I took it upon myself to investigate that users code for his cursor. It works in old school as well. Personally, I'm not the brightest crayon in the box especially when it comes to coding so I have no idea how the guy managed to make that work, but obviously it does.

This is the code he used:

body {cursor: url(http://www.luneknight.com.ru/curs/uploads/PFDV6T1YLz4.cur ), auto; }
A {cursor: url(http://www.luneknight.com.ru/curs/uploads/PFDV6T1YLz4.ani), url(http://www.luneknight.com.ru/uploads/curs/PFDV6T1YLz4.cur ), auto; }

Also, I highly suggest you don't just take the code and replace the url since this isn't a general code that can be found anywhere. If the guy did take the time to figure out how to do this on Gaia like any coder he would probably be upset if it was just snatched. If you really want to use it or need more information on the code try pming the guy whose profile you found it on. I only put it up in case someone else here might be able to explain it to you in detail.
look at meh simple profile!. heart
