We are currently seeking interest in the lovely world of Incendia. Hiring and contests are open. Also, the wolf lines are in the process of being edited. Please stick around, invite your friends, apply, enter the contests and just have fun!


There is a hall, and within it are many doors. But these
aren’t just any ordinary doors, oh no – these doors are
the gateways that allow the hall of worlds to exist.

A somewhat hesitant hand reaches out and traces the engravings carved into the dark, smooth
wood. The first-time explorer watches as the carvings begin to shine, flowing through the crevices
until they are all alight with magic. The explorer’s hand shows signs of hesitation again, before
they clench it briefly and push hard on the door. It swings open silently, light flooding the hall
as a dappled pine forest reveals itself. Standing among the trees is a magnificent deer that
shimmers and blurs every time a concentrated gaze is directed at it. The doe stars at the explorer
for several long moments, then with a blink of an eye it vanishes. Standing in its place is a young
woman, dressed similar to a native Indian.

“Welcome to Ahki. I see you are nervous, but please do not be – you are not the first to enter here,
and you are safe. I must warn you, however, that should you choose to enter this world, your spirit
will have only 24 hours in the body it currently possesses.”

The explorer shrinks back at this, but the woman’s warm smile stops them from closing the door.

“Do not fear – you will not die. It merely means you will have to find an inhabitant – a creature that
has need of a soul. You will be able to return to your body, but the length of time you spend in it is
dependent of how long you inhabit a creatures. Come, I will have one of my brothers escort you to
the village where you can learn more.”

The door swings shut with a soft ‘click’ as the explorer steps onto the grass, and they take the
offered hand of the woman. She leads them away, then, to a spring where they can be handed
into the care of the woman’s ‘brothers’.

SHOP
❶ Be both respectful & polite! That means leave the drama llama's a few hundred metres from the front door, keep in mind we may have some younger users in the thread, and keep things to a PG-13 level. Do not discriminate unless it's entirely in character when role playing, and treat others as you would like to be treated.
❷ Do not steal: art, lines, pets, concepts & ideas or anything else that is digitally tangible.
❸ Read the entire front page before asking questions, particularly the rules and FAQ. You'll probably find we have already answered your question.
❹ You may not re-sell your pets! You can a) return them to the Spirits to be put up for adoption, b) hold a free contest or b) give them away.
❺ Listen to the staff, and obey them when necessary. They are the rule makers and do not tolerate rule-breakers.
❻ Do not beg for pets, or cheat. That means no editing posts and such things!

ROLE PLAY
❶ Follow the Daisy Code
❷ Be literate. This means no chat or LEET speak, and please use a spell checker if you have poor grammar/spelling.
❸ Role plays in other languages are allowed. However, you must label what language it is in, and provide a link to an accurate translator.If you are caught role playing anything inappropriate in another language, consequences will apply.
❹ No canon or fandom characters from any existing media, unless iit is your creation and the character has been adapted to Incendia.
❺ You must own a pet to RP it unless you have permission from the other owner to role play their pet. Said permission must be on hand to provide staff and placed in the first post of a thread in the guild if possible.

FAQ
Are these role play required?
No, but it is strongly encouraged! If you become an active role player here, and reach certain stats, your pet will become eligible for some awesome bonuses : D

Why don't colourists get 100% of all their earnings?
We know it's not as common to keep so many percentages, but in order to make a profit/start getting a return on all we've spent/be able to pay certists and managers etc we have to keep a bit of what colourists earn. However, we give them plenty of benefits to balance it out : D

How can I get a pet?
Through contests, flatsales, flaffles, games, and all the other regular stuff. Don't beg or anything though.

How many familiars can I have?
Only one at any time for each pet. Your familiars may breed, but the results of the breeding have to go to the village or be given to another or your own or someone else's pets.

What does Incendia Venatio mean?
It means 'Fire Hunting'. Original. no?

Okay... What about 'Ahki'?
Ha! It means Earth (land). Now THAT is original ;]

Where do I send trades?
Trades for custom pets are to be sent to the respetive colourist who is doing the custom. All other pet payments are to be sent to the mule Incendia Venatio and owners will then distribute the payments to staff.

Does Incendia have RL commissions?
RL commissions will be available in the future.

Can I direct link?
Incendia would prefer if you did not direct link, but rather saved your pets & certings to your own computer and uploaded it to your own image host account. Otherwise direct linking will use up our monthly bandwidth, which wouldn't be any fun.

Is co-owning allowed?
Yes.

Where can I RP?
You can role play in the thread or any of the guilds specified forums.

Can my pet die?
Yes, your pet can die, but only through role play. Make sure you think carefully about such a decision, as once a pet is gone you can no longer role play it (except in special circumstances of spirits etc).

As Wolf was walking along, he met a Deer with two spotted fawns beside her. “What have you
done,” said he, “to make your children spotted like that?”

“I made a big fire of cedar wood and placed them before it. The sparks thrown off burned the
spots which you see,” answered the deer.

Wolf was pleased with the colour of the fawns, so he went home and told his children to gather
wood for a large fire. When the fire was burning well, he put the young wolves in a row before
the fire, as he supposed the deer had done.

When he found that they did not change colour, he pushed them into the fire and covered them
with ashes, thinking he had not applied enough heat. As the fire went out, he saw their gleaming
white teeth among shrivelled skin.
“Ah! You will be very pretty now,” said he. Wolf pulled his offspring from the ashes, expecting to
find them much changed in colour – and so they were: black, shrivelled and dead.

Wolf next thought of revenge upon the Deer, which he found in a grove of cottonwoods. He built
a fire around them, but they ran through it and survived except for one tiny fawn. Wolf was so
upset and disappointed that he set up a cry of woe, a means of expression that he has retained
from that day to this.

It has been hundreds of years since that fateful day when four innocent lives were lost. In the
time that has passed, the Dyani and Tala populations have flourished, and revenge upon each
other has never been far from their minds, despite the attempts of the Spirits. Every day, the
three wolf cubs and fawn do what they can to lessen the hate, to very little avail – until recently.

Seventy-five years ago the door to Ahki was opened, and explorers began arriving. At first the
inhabitants of Ahki were scared, but the Spirits soon realized they had nothing to fear and began
to help the explorers. Since then a village has been established with three permanent residents
who have reached the point of being able to share their soul between the creature they chose
and their bodies. The other residents still have to switch between bodies, and most do so rarely.
With the help of these explorers, the Spirits are beginning to win their struggle for peace among
the Dyani and Tala – but they’re still depending on more explorers visiting Ahki to increase the
members of creatures who want peace.

Spirits

Spirits (NPC's) are the three cubs and fawn who died from fire those many years ago, and who now wish to put a stop to the hate in the world of Ahkia.

NEWBORN - 1 WEEK RL TIME
Newborns are curious little things, but aren't able to do much about it. Their eyesight is poor, and they aren't very good at standing or walking. As such, they are very vulnerable and heavily guarded - sometimes even kept at the village to protect them - and at the same time, create bonds with any available traveler and form a friendship with Tala.

FAWN - 2 WEEKS RL TIME
Fawns are even more curious, and it is at this point that they can do something about it. They are often very playful, and don't care much for the war, but they are taught to be wary at this point. As they near adulthood, relationships bloom, personalities and interests become more solid, and they start to choose their side in the war. It is also during this stage that their bond with a traveler is strengthened and they get to know each other.

ADULT - 2 WEEKS RL TIME
When Dyani become adult, they have usually chosen their alignment, and sometimes even a mate. They can breed at this stage, and they begin to travel their paths in life. It is now that their bond with their traveler is at its strongest point. Some may choose to actively fight in the war, while others may work on creating bonds with travelers and willing Tala.

UNI & WINGED?
Occasionally the Gods or Spirits will bless a doe and her mate, and their children will be born winged or as a uni. Winged Dyani can fly, and are quickly recruited in the war. Uni Dyani have certain healing abilities, and generally dedicate themselves to healing the injured and sick - no matter what their alignment.

EXPLORER - INTENSIVE ROLE PLAYING & A PRICE
Sometimes, very rarely, Dyani and their bonded traveler can meld together in the Travelers body, allowing them to both exist as one. This only happens when they wish to go exploring together, and as the Dyani's form isn't the most convenient for such things, they meld. This is an extremely big step however, and sometimes dangerous.

NEWBORN - 1 WEEK RL TIME
Newborn Tala are tougher than the Dyani, but they still need protection. The Tala are more wary of the village then the Dyani, and so fewer newborn Tala are found in the village. They are very impressionable, and (when a villager is lucky enough to get near one) this is the best time to begin forming a bond.

CUB - 2 WEEKS RL TIME
Curious, playful, and able to roam a ways from home on their own. The bond begins to strengthen at his point, especially as the Tala nears adulthood. They are leaning the ropes, sometimes even choosing a side, making friends and meeting potential future mates.

ADULT - 2 WEEKS RL TIME
As adults, the bond between a Tala and villager is at its strongest point. Possibly, too, is the Tala their strongest. By this point they have probably chosen a mate, alignment, and possibly a life path.

HORNED & WINGED?
Occasionally the Gods or Spirits will bless a breeding, and some cubs in the litter may be born winged or horned. Winged Tala, like winged Dyani, are quickly recruited in the war because of the advantage flying gives them.

Colorist Information

You'll be expected to:
● Be active in thread.
● Contribute to a friendly atmosphere in the shop and guild
● Answer any questions people may ask
● Finish things in a timely manner; this means owed event pets and growings.
● Have a program that supports .PSD files
● Participate in events held by the shop
● Hold custom/breeding rounds on a reasonable basis
● Editing is not required but is still encouraged.

Compensation

● Colorists receive 100% of their profits.
● One Colorist Choice each month to make a pet for yourself or a gift for someone else.

I'm a busy girl, with a lot on her plate, so I'll be taking a bit of a backseat - at least for the first few months until things settle down for me. As such, I'm in need of someone trustworthy who can be in the shop when I can't - answering questions, keeping colourists up to date, helping plan/organize events etc.

You'll be expected to:
● Be active in thread.
● Contribute to a friendly atmosphere in the shop and guild
● Be easy to get on with.
● Have the time to be in the shop on a regular basis
● IM's aren't required, as I don't use them. Be prepared for lots of PMing.
