[Pugnacious Banana]

it's my current avatar (sort of. i forgot to draw my AFK bag thing emo and intentionally didn't draw all the backgroundey crap)

please give critique but try not to be too harsh with it because i've never posted in this forum before and it's pretty scary. >__> even though i'm moving misplaced threads from AD to here all the time.
i am aware of the messed up ankle and the fact that his hair looks like a bad wig. maybe it is a bad wig.

the main aim from this is to improve my art. i kind of feel like my art hasn't been improving for a while and it sucks because i see lots of other people i know getting better and my art is the same old crap always.)

I personally REALLY like it, the arms seem kinda burly fir a girl, but if thats your aim then its perfect. I really like your style a lot ^^ I wanna see more from u!

I like it, overall. I feel like the hand holding the cupcake is a little awkward, as it doesn't seem a natural way to hold one's hand (if I hold my hand like that, it kinda stresses my muscles). Maybe it would've been better to have the hand closer to the body, which is a little more natural unless he's stretching to give the cupcake to someone.

My only other note is that the neck seems odd to me. I feel like his head should be shifted a tad to the right from where it is, and I think it's the position of the neck doing that.

Other than that, I think it's great. I love the subtle colors, and I actually for one like the hair. It reminds me of David Bowie. Maybe your avi just likes hairspray.

i always have a hard time putting the head/neck in the right place. when i do digital art i end up erasing and redrawing necks a lot so it's hard to get it right in traditional art when i can't erase the pen lines. emo

I wondered if it was a dude xD Idk.. i dont like to step on peoples shoes so I just assume since its wearing a dress its a girl o_O lol, either way, its very beautiful

i always have a hard time putting the head/neck in the right place. when i do digital art i end up erasing and redrawing necks a lot so it's hard to get it right in traditional art when i can't erase the pen lines. emo

I have problems with that sometimes, too. I've started planning my figures by drawing where i want the head, then a line for the curve of the neck/spine. The neck is basically just the top of the vertebrae, so the curves from it into the back are usually pretty subtle even when the head's twisted. I still have difficulties from time to time, but it does help.
