~One is the Loneliest Buffer - a zOMG petition~

The way buffs were previously distributed:
when someone used a buff in a group of people everyone would receive that buff

How buffs are distributed after an update:
only people in the same crew can gain a buff from someone else or if they were selected then buffed (if the person isn't in the crew).


What we're suggesting:
A toggle button that will allow the player to chose if they want to receive buffs from another player or not.

(A note to non-zOMG players: A buff is like a power up that lasts for a while but eventually wears off or disappears when a player "dies" (becomes dazed). Buffs are equipped as rings and a player can have up to 8 rings equipped at once.)

A buff with a lower rage cannot replace a buff with a higher rage. It's only a display glitch if you hover the cursor and it displays the lower buff instead of the higher. The effects of the higher are still there and wont go away until the buff wears out.

Although I have a few comments.

One thing is that this may produce lag while running the game, although it may be a simple adjustment like a yes-no in the coding but I don't know.

Another thing is where this will be placed. I'm thinking that maybe it will be put in the options pane with the things like controls, video options and audio. Although I would like the option of simply putting it in the menu under or over the Charge Level adjustment.

.but my problem is the pop ups will cause lag and in the middle of a battle that would be really hard to stop fighting and click ..it might cause the crew to lose the battle bc of that

.my suggestion is to when you first join the crew a thing pops up saying "Would you like to recieve buffs from your crew?" yes or no. it would only pop up once so you wont have it constantilly popping up before buffs are used

But, as for the option of picking whether you want to recieve buffs or not when you join a crew: there should be an toggle in the crew panel for changing that later. Like if you accidentally pick the wrong one.
I just don't want the choice set in stone. c:

Would this be an option in the control panel that you could choose? Maybe choose to receive buffs from all players, crew only, or no one? I think that would solve the pop up problem I saw some people mention. You could go in an change the setting whenever you wanted, just like any of the other options.

The idea of their being a switch to choose who you would like to receive buffs from sounds like a good idea. Giving the three options 'Everyone/Crew/No one' sounds like the best; perhaps this toggle button could be in the options next to what animations you wish to appear which has the same options, if I remember correctly?
