The pet industry is one of the most profitable in the world. Personally I keep fish and corals, birds, lizards, snakes, turtles and tortises, cats and dogs, and plants. Amphibians, insects, small mammals, and many "wild" animals are also kept by many people. I for one would love to have my cat running around with me on gaia, chasing bugs or playing with the trash. I would love to see my dog running around other avis, and maybe marking a tree now and then!! I would like to be albe to select his gender, color, age, size, and more. I want Belgian Malinois for my dog. There is a whole world of pets that people keep, and, given that gaia seems to be so profit oriented, I would expect that they would have long ago given us the options that are available to us in the real world. I certainly wouldn't mind putting wings on my cat either! I can buy a fish in a bag in the shops, but it doesn't show up in my avi's hand when I preview it, and I can find no bowl or aquarium to put in my house. A few years ago, the most money for entertainment and hobbies in America was spent on photography. The second largest amount of money spent on entertainment and hobbies was......tropical fish aquariums!!!!!! I want my fish in my house!! Gaia is really missing a huge facet of our personalities, and even though I won't be able to spend money on making my pets, obviously many people will. - Much peace. twisted
