its a little icon you give to others who have patches and you make a quilt. Usually the patch matches your profile. It links to your profile too.

Aight, so you guys have some rough idea of how incompetent I am regarding art and css, so I have some questions:

Aside from the art I have to provide done by either myself, or purchased on Gaia, do I also have to provide things like edge art?

i.e.: Say I wanted the edges of the profile or scroll boxes to have patterns like torn paper or aluminum spikes etc.

Is that a part of the services or an extra charge? Or do have to find someone to draw that for me and give permission?

I can't draw anything or even do patterns in photoshop, I am artistically challenged. :B

I don't quite get what you're saying...you mean like a texture like the background of my WIP has?

if we don't hold the copyrights, we can't make it.

If I wanted to use.....say...a picture from the film Labyrinth, I'd have to get permission from George Lucas, Jim Henson's estate (as he died in 1991), and Terry Jones to use the image in question.

If I wanted to use a picture of Edward Cullen, I'd have to contact Stephenie Meyer and Summit Entertainment to use the image in question.

If I wanted to use a picture of Robert Pattinson, I'd have to contact his agents to use the image in question.

Good luck asking them permission. You have to get someone to make you the profile for free if you want to use any copyright images. Other then that, it is against the rules to use copyright images commercially on Gaia ie. custom profiles that require making a profit of. Fake or not. However, you can use fan art, but again you need permission from the artist.

There used to be a list, but then the tektek bars went screwy on us and we've not been able to fix them.
