Ever heard of the legend of Pandora's Box? Well basically a little girl named Pandora received a box containing knowledge, but was warned that if she opened the box, that there will be horrendous consequences. Well [little girl + curiosity] * [told not to open + need to rebel authority] = the box is opened and out come the curses released upon the world.

Now what does this have to do with writing you ask? well it is simple. You opened Pandora's box smile

No you did not release curses onto the world as you did not open the true Pandora's box but simply fell into an analogy for my collection of Poems, and short stories, and what not.

Once you come in here and [hopefully] catch a glimpse of something piquing your interest, then read something of mine, you will have some [hopefully] thought provoking epiphany of some kind and ultimately leave here with knowledge that has been bestowed upon you through reading or thinking.

HAVE FUN!!!

I wrote this poem recently for a project about Transcendentalism:

WHY NOT

WE ARE TOLD TO OBEY
TOLD how to ACT
TOLD HOW TO BE
TOLD TO OBEY THE RULES OF Society

We are told what to think
We are told what to believe
Told to strive for popularity

Trust the tech
It’s smart so no need for us to be
We need the phones in order to succeed

They are required to function
But what is their function
Our phones are vestigial organs
Unneeded yet still attached

Why not trees growing into the sky
Why not smiles as the birds go by
Why not feel our feet move through grass
Why not critters roaming by

Why do we crave cement?
Why do we crave tech?
Why not the trees!
Why not fresh air for us to breathe!
Not Clogged by egos and popularity!

We tire of familial interaction
Why not tire of corporations controlling our actions
We see homeless on the street
Why not give them food to eat
We crave money for material possessions
Why not crave freedom from societal oppression

We want to look like the kardashians
Why not strive for education
We want to act like we are all knowing
Why not accept we really know nothing

Why can Thoreau live alone in a cabin At peace with nature.
Why can we not be alone without a computer

Why are we the most depressed? Why are we dependent on technology?
Why not alleviate some of our stress? Why not try kent’s idealiology

wrote in 45 minutes an English Shakespearean sonnet in iambic pentameter based off a random prompt:

If you were the opposite gender for one day, what would you do?

oh wow, I have transformed from girl to boy
my voice matured to that of a great man
Im Ulysses from the great land of troy
I get strength from a Popeye Spinach can!

I stopped a evil purse thief today
and lifted a car above my friend’s head
i am enjoying being a hero yay
Its like Im a body made up of lead!

What will i do as a girl when I change
I will lose my super strength and be weak
I will not fear since I wont derange
My mind will be heightened to it’s full peak

I will have knowledge from both sides of me
I will go make change and cause history

Your hands like ice climbing up my waist

Your breath suffocating me

You force your head to my neck

You force your hands down my side

Stop stop I say stop

Protest not fair maiden protest not

I feel my feet leave the floor

I feel my back pressed against a wall

I feel your hands grabbing me

I tremble in terror

Stop stop I said stop

Protest not my fair maiden protest not

I gain courage of a lion

I gain strength of a bear

I gain the freedom of a bird

I push I push I push you away

I push you far away

Run run I want to flee

Shaking trembling out of fear

Crying silent shallow breaths

Maiden what is wrong

Maiden thou no needst cry

Maiden thy meant no harm towards the

Maiden no act of sin has been committed

Maiden fair maiden come to me

Maiden fair maiden I shall comfort thee

Still shaking still trembling I obey your command

Still scared still frightened I cling for security

You wipe a tear from my cheek

You whisper everything is fine

You whisper you will protect me

You whisper you have not nor will you ever do thou harm

You lied.

Life's Drill Movements

Left, Right, left, right,
Move on forwards with your life.
Up, down, side, to side,
Obstacles will test the strength in your eyes.
To the rear march,
Look back at who they were.
To the rear march,
Transformations continue as you evolve.
By the left flank March,
Even the best make mistakes.
By the right flank march,
The choices afterwords can get you back.
