Why is it that those who are pure of heart are always the ones getting the shaft in life?

I hate to use me as the only example, but I can't think of anybody else, so I'm hoping somebody will at least have a clue as to what's going on. Pure-heartedness could mean a lot of things, perhaps.....one I will also include is being a person of your word, being honest, being friendly.

It seems like everybody in the world is so disorganized and ignorant, afraid to face their own responsibilities, laughing away their problems in order to divert all things they should feel ashamed of.

Scientifically-speaking, it seems like those who are able to organize their thoughts better than most other people are likely afflicted with mental disorders that stereotypically border on mental-retardation. Those who are disorganized, ignorant, unashamed, and so caught up in their own agendas....they are considered "neurotypical"; neurotypicals are, basically, regular people. Scientifically, people break down into two groups....neurotypical or Aspie. Aspies, people with "Asperger's Syndrome", are known to be creative and talented, but slow-learning. Aspies also have been known to have social problems, because from the sound of things, they are surrounded by emotional mine-fields which have been planted by none other than themselves. Ironically, the Aspie category is sort of prejudiced, because Asperger's is a diagnosed trait, and there are many more similar disabilities and disorders, such as autism.
I do not have Asperger's Syndrome, and I do not have autism. However, I do have C-PTSD, ADD, anxiety, and depression. I hate to expose myself like this, but it's part of the discussion of the scientific aspect of my subject. These diagnoses are acquired from my experiences in life; I've always been one who meant well, trying to get by in life, and I've never been a liar. Yet, one thing I noticed about people similar to me is that they are subject to mass persecution by their fellow peers, most often for reasons unknown. These people do go on to become successful in life, often more successful than their persecutors, but sometimes they don't make it in life because their experiences become too great to bear, sometimes prompting suicide.

I don't know if my message makes any sense to any of you, but I am curious to hear your answers....why is it that people who are pure of heart are always the ones getting ******** over in life? People treat them like they're alien, not normal, and often commit to smear campaigns against them.

Ah yes; I see you read the religious background of the "pure of heart" story. And you do have a point about that. Although, I didn't mean religiously-speaking of pure-heartedness; I meant socially. But I guess religiously & socially go hand-in-hand in life.
yes its completly true when your pure of heart seeing good in everyone not seeing the bad just giving them chances u end up getting hurt i was hurt many times cause of this with exes and ppl i thought were my friends and yeah i hate it so i completly understand how you feel
They take advantage becuase you don't tell them to stop. You get screwed over becuase you don't put an end to your contact with them.

Uh....I'll be honest here; part of the reason I made this thread was because I had a similar experience like this one. Except this one has me heart-broken forever at this rate. It has to do with a girl who I met 5 years ago, who would eventually go on to be my ex; she recently blackmailed me and now my relationship with someone I really love is over. Since then, she's been telling me to ******** off, calling me annoying and basically treating me like we never met. I'm sure she's willing to have all her friends single me out if I were to try anything, because people are usually just like that; they don't want to deal with any shame or regrets.

I don't mean to talk about myself here; I'm just trying to point out some examples.

It's because the pure of heart are so pure, that they get crushed.
They don't have the heart to stand up and say 'hey! stop that!' because they don't want to hurt someone's feelings.
The pure of heart are always being put down, because they can be easily taken advantage of. It's sad, but true. But of course, the pure of heart will never mind, because they'll just forgive them.
*sigh*

Personally I tend to find that people who look down on other people in the way you apparently do get the treatment they deserve - in other words people don't like them very much. For someone who is so 'pure of heart', you don't seem to have much in the way of empathy.

Maybe if you stop obsessing about how badly the world has wronged you and work on doing good things for other people you will find your position changes.

It sounds likely to me that your disorders have made you socially awkward and that is part of the problem. It doesn't mean that you are more honest and pure of heart than anyone else, it just means that you don't have the tools to know when you are overstepping the mark and embarrassing or hurting other people. Such skills can (usually) be learned, and perhaps it is worth talking to your doctor about it.

Just stop the moral superiority complex crap, will you? The world is as it is and it's not going to help you in the long run to keep playing the helpless victim.

that is a very good question. i believe that because those that are "pure of heart" as you say are going out of their way to help others. this add extra strain ont to their lives. now compare this to someone who only has to look out for themselves. the one that solely looks after themselves and doesnt strive to go as far has less to worry about and tends to be able to enjoy situations better. the other, however will be not only sorting their own issues and striving for sucess but they will also be trying to support others. however when the time comes for the hard working helpful person to get help, there is rarely anyone there that will help. because of the good they have done they almost expect someone to help them in return. it makes them fragile and when they are let down they become even more so. its because that those that do good do so to try to fit in. this is another stress that they have.

however i do not agree that all of those people consider others to be inferior. i am partially like these people, i have gone out of my way countless times to help people but im not quite the same in other ways as these, so i have a moderate experiance to draw on here. i have personally felt what its like to help people and then when your struggling to be left alone. its demoralising and you question why. you ask the very question you are asking. i believe the fact that we try to become a positive member of the society using this methord that we leave ourselves open to this fate. we spend too much effort on others and this leaves ourselves vulnerable. its a strange world we live in but its about balance. we cant think sololy of ourselves or the community would colapse but if we think sololy of others we as individuals colapse. you have to find the right way to live by utilising both ways of living.

thats my view anyway.
seems to me someone pure of heart would not result to self pity or to try and use "science" to explain their crappy lives. bad things happen to good people. Good things happen to good people. All things happen to all people and that is just the way life works. Thats it.
