I do have a question, maybe a silly one, I leveled up a phantom stagony and at level 10 it displayed the reward as phantom stagony but even after choosing in kin menu to equip it, I still only have the egg. Am I doing something wrong?

The equip tab has to do with amulets in the game; something you need not be concerned with until you have a strong permanent kin for the game. Then they make things more profitable. One of the beginners guides will walk you through that part, how they work, what they do, how to get the amulet slots you want or close to it.

Your rewarded phantom stagony will be in your equip tab in inventory or the dressing room or avi builder. You can use it from those places to use with your avi.

And yep, it takes weeks to read all the guides, but just knowing which ones do what helps later when you need to refer back to something.

One more thing of note; some of the advice in the beginning guides is outdated due to changes in the game since they were written. Check out the update thread op after you read one of the beginning guides.
