I'm trying to find a kin as good as Brilliant Tanuki but it's really hard sad The penguin took ages until he got some skills and the only one he has now is the dizzy cut. Not sure if it's worth it keeping him around sad

OK, there are tons of affordable kin that are quite good, worth fully leveling for a strong beginners crew. You can often get Solder Mouse for free from one of the listed giveaway threads as well as Chiclex or for very cheap on the mp. They can with enough potion support take on Sycamorts at stage five the Wilds.

If you have a bigger budget, the best strongest affordable ones include Sakura Pegacorn Fluff and Watermeat.

For more the middle of the strong, and more affordable there is Ember the Spirited Fox, Pumbae (evolves into Pumperilla) and many others.

Check the guides for other strong ones. There are some inside the Lake Kindred Directory. I found the Sycamorte guide in there very useful; when starting out I scrolled down to the stage 5 Sycamorte killers. There were lots added since then with the debut of Lake Miasmal, see the guides there for newer kin.

Finally if you're fairly new to the game, do take the time to read a beginner's guide as it'll save you a ton of headaches, pitfalls and missed opportunities, then follow up with the updates thread for changes since those were written.

Oh I see! No, there hasn't been an updated guide, but I did post when it changed and I keep note of changes to the game in Updates which I then linked to this thread.

Off the top of my head:

Plat rewards: 618; 309; 30. Other rewards: capsule, singe, mega heal, small heal, ally plus, other potions, emerald seed, and these are for both Sycs and Phantoms. Plat rewards for the Wilds not battling Sycamortes are 30 or 1 plat.

If someone hits the soft earnings ceiling, in either gold or plat, plat rewards start reducing and head to 1 plat only anywhere in the game. Note, in gold mode, gold rewards have not changed.

It does.

I'm not sure if the LK ceiling is triggered by the amount of plat/gold you earn or by a bunch of criteria that has nothing to do with it as I've hit it as early as 2500 plat before earning much in other places. I've been doing an experiment and not posting in my journal until after playing LK and the ceiling seems to be 5 times higher if I do so. Yesterday I posted in my journal first and sure enough, the ceiling hit very low.
