Yeah, generally, virtual worlds not connected to a rp game seemed to have faded out. it's a shame but I suspect places like FB did them in.

I know FB essentially killed traditional forums and rendered deep discussions almost impossible as a result. It seems people value sound bites, trivia and photos over meaningful truly deep conversation and privacy. This creates a distance between people, a shallow connection that prevents a deeper friendship. Illusionary popularity....

I'm not so sure about that sometimes.... Give me any opening and chats will suddenly become very very deep indeed. Either that or give me any good straight lines and I'll run with them.... lol

It's really hard to have a really deep discussion when you're multitasking; they really require full attention. All your brain cells getting sleep at night help too; something a toddler doesn't allow for much, lol.
