[Moonhera]

SUMMARY: X (your character - give him a name), aged seventeen, and his sister Solinera, aged nineteen are children of the famous hunter Z (your character). They travel to the Tanari Plains in search of some rather elusive lions. X loathes hunting, but his father and sister are active hunters indeed..after being accidentally seperated, they cross the path of a lion clan while searching for Z. X begs his sister to leave them be..but wanting to make her father proud, she takes out her arrows and chases a lioness Aveena, into a corner.

The lioness in desperation claws at Solinera just as the bow was being fired-ending with the lioness being shot in the shoulder and Solinera scratched on the hand..there's a flash of light and when Solinera wakes up-her brother in unconscious and upon trying to rouse him..she finds herself furry, four-pawed, and a lioness. The lioness meanwhile, with her shoulder shot, is now a human girl.. Aveena is the sister of the alpha lion of the clan, the king of the lions, Y (your other character) ..and he is not happy..and the wretched human who nearly killed his sister seems like excellent prey..

~Prestory~

X Sarcroft, aged 17, and his sister Solinera, aged 19 are children of the famous hunter Z Sarcroft. If it can be hunted, he hunts it, and he's dragged his children into his obsession, so much so that his wife left him and Z ran off with the children-telling them that it was their mother who had left since he couldn't bear to be parted from his children too. Z loves his wife and she loves him..they are madly in love..but his obsession with hunting despite her wishes caused her to decide to 'leave him' so that he would get his head on straight..but instead, he took the children and ran.

Solinera is definately a 'daddy's girl' she adores her father and does whatever she can to please him..including joining in his hunting obsession. X however, feels it's wrong..till X was fourteen and Solinera was 15 they were very close..but when the hunting got more serious and X pulled away-Solinera became more of the taunting, jeering older sister for her 'wimpy' little brother. They've just come to the Tanari Plains, hunting some elusive lions. During a rock slide, the youngsters get seperated from their father via a blocked up cave and they intend to head around and meet up with their father that way. They end up getting near a large rock with a cave and find a clan of lions..Solinera, a daddy's girl as ever, wants to make her father proud by taking down a lion on her own and to that end, she ignores X and chases down a lionness, Aveena, cornering her. Just as she tries to shoot, the lionness scratches in desperation and ends up clawing Solinera's hand.

There's a flash of light and when Solinera comes too, her brother X is lying unconscious beside her..despite their differences and her having been tormenting him since he refused to hunt..she loves him of course and worriedly starts to wake him..seeing then what's happened. Her beautiful body is now that of a furry, four-pawed beast..a lionness..she's become what she hunted, and the lionness, shot in the shoulder and in danger of dying from blood loss, is waking up to find herself human..During this confusion, Aveena's very protective older brother and king of the lions, Y, emerges and upon seeing what's happened..he's furious. Obviously none of the lions trust humans, Aveena included, and so she will be rather vicious and frightened at first when X wakes up since he'll try to fix her..but in the end, she'll let him help and that'll be how he gains some of her trust. Meanwhile, no one knows why this happened, and while the lions can understand X and Aveena, they can't understand the lions, Solinera included..not until one of the animal mystics grants them Nature's Tongue. (lets them speak to animals)

Y is rather angry with Solinera, understandably..and he knows that she's a hunter..so rather than kill her, he intends to make her a real lionness..by making her, not his mate of course..but perhaps passing a kid off on the evil-hearted human (as he sees her). He rationalizes not killing her because he's better than the humans..and because it might keep his sister stuck as a human..Obviously Solinera wants no part of this..but by her own doing..she's now trapped..and as for Aveena, despite her misgivings, X is the only person she can talk to for now. She can talk to her brother of course, but for the time being, she can't understand him.

~Important Information~

Solinera obviously is not pleased with her situation..she wll be defiant but with the understanding that she can't 'escape'..she has nowhere to go to after all as a lion. She'll be seeing the lion's side of things, hurting her hunter side..also, she'll want to protect her little brother despite how much payback he's should be ready to give the 'big kitty'. Aside from which, he's the only familiar thing to her so she'll want to cling to him for her comfort as well as his safety..nevermind being a bit jealous of the now beautiful-human Aveena who will be occupying much of her brother's attentions.. And of course..there's the undeniable attraction to Y to consider..

Neither is Y pleased with the situation either, seeing as he can't understand whats going on and how his sister is in a human body and the person who was trying to kill her in lioness form. He will want to take revenage for that fact. He should be cold towards her and push Solinera down as far as she can go, telling her that he doesn't have any need for any more hunters in his pack. However there is the fact that the pack's population is going down and there is not enough lionesses for breeding (Thats as far as lionesses can go down in a pack) and that she will be suitable for one. Solinera will be horrifed but when she tries to disobey Y should just lash out at her trying to make her obey. So everytime afterwards Solinera disobeys then Y will just lash out at her to break her.

Aveena is obviously going to be a bit volatile and frightened in her new form, unable to communicate with her friends and family. Her big brother is the dearest person in the world to her, with her other dear ones being her two little cousins Ryni and Marken, and her best friend, a lion named Toman (Toe-Mahn). But her brother is very protective and she'll see this as an opportunity for a little freedom..she knows her brother won't hurt her and so he won't risk trying to stop her in the fragile human form..and of course, since she can't understand him..even though she'll of course know when he would be telling her not to do something..it's not disobeying since she can't hear him. After all. (the logic of kids these days. *snickers*) I think it might be cute if she wants to ride on her brother occasionally as well, sort of like piggybacking.

As for their father, he's going to be back around eventually and not know what's happened, still trying to be 'the hunter'. By now, the kids will want to stop him from hurting the lions..and the end result should be a scratch from Aveena, changing him into a lion for the time being. (they'll have discovered she has this power, although they don't know how to undo it yet) He'll become a lion cub rather than a fully grown lion and both Solinera and X will want to keep him out of trouble..although the best way to do this appears to be taking a firm hand with their stubborn father, so Solinera will take sort of a bossy, maternal role with her father for the time being. As a cub, he really can't do anything about it, and since he keeps trying to be the stubborn hunter..it makes it hard to be very lenient towards him.

Lastly..this is the optional romance of this story but I think it's cute and might help give the story juice later on (or sooner if that's your preference..) But obviously, mommy dearest is furious with her husband running off and missing her kids..so on a tip, she heads to the Plains and winds up at the clan. Z recognizes her and from mirror images and paintings, the kids recognize her too..she's part fae, so she has Nature's Tongue and can speak to animals. She'll tell the kids what really happened, which will leave Z with a lot to answer for..and earning his wife's love back, as well as his children's trust..is a part of that. Particularly with how angry they'll be to know that their beloved father lied to them for so long and took their mother from them..but as I said, it would thrill me to the marrow of my bones..*cough cough* but it's still optional, I'll understand if you're not interested... *hiding torture devices behind back with a cheery smile*..

This is on a forgein world by the way, techonogly does happen but only a few things. Medivial weapons all around through

Solinera held her bow and arrow steady at the lioness who was in a corner, backed up as far as she could go. Solinera didn't get any closer to those claws that were swishing out, but the lioness didn't get any closer to her either. Her eyes were narrowed at it, father would be proud of her when she managed to get an almost full grown lioness skin! It would look good on the floor and he would enjoy the taste of lioness meat as much as she would. They'd been seperated from their father in a rockslide and gone searching for him..but on the way, they'd spotted the lionness and Solinera had given chase after her, so they now had managed to get her into this corner with no way out and Solinera held the bow ready to shoot

Nicholas stopped his mad run after Solinera a few ten feet from her and was panting and sweating.
"Sol.. Don't!" He gasped out of breath and, groaning in fatigue, he forced his feet to keep moving and intended to tackle Solinera before she shot the poor animal.

Androkles had commanded and guided the other lions to their den at the arrival of the hunter but had noticed that his dear sister was not with the others and was looking for her. Androkles leapt onto a tall boulder and straightened his neck, trying to see his sister or the humans. He had quite good visiblity from there, considering the plain was mostly open space with only a few trees and some green grass but mainly sand. He finally caught a sight of one of the humans and his eyes followed him to the one with the weapon and then he saw his sister and growled angrily, leaping off the boulder for them.

Solinera frowned when she heard Nicholas call her nickname, she barely responded to it anymore. She didn't notice as he ran towards her but the tackle was too late. Solinera had let the arrow fly towards the lioness who tried to dogde it but it lodged in the lioness shoulder just above her left front leg. then the lioness suddenly collapsed Solinera smiled in satisfaction and was about to fire another one to make sure when Nicholas ran into her. Her vision suddenly went black as she collided with the ground and a bright light echoed around the cavern

Solinera opened her eyes slowly. Her head was pounding, and her body was tingling. As she began to focus her gaze, it followed along the ground to see her brother laying unconscious. "Nicholas" she tried to say. But something was wrong...it came out as the sounds of a lion. "NICHOLAS!?" she said worriedly. She looked down and saw golden fur, paws...a tail?! Weakly, she pulled herself to her feet- all four of them- and began to panic.

Aveena felt cold. The loss of blood and loss of fur made her begin to shiver. She let out a small tuff of air, but it came out as a soft moan...a human noise. She moved her front leg, to cover her muzzle with her paw. But she felt only bare skin against her very different face. And her paw was no more- instead she had a hand with flexible fingers. With a great deal of pain, she sat up, pushing herself back against the boulder. She brought her knees into her chest, covering her nearly naked body, missing the comfort of her fur already.

Nicholas yelped when the light struck his eyes and he crashed to the hard ground. His head pounded for a moment, for having met with Mr Ground, but then he felt numb and tired and darkness filled his sight, he was out. He looked surprisingly peaceful given the circumstance they were all under and the location.
His quickly spawned dreams began fading as quickly as his sight had gone before and he could hear yelling behind the screams of pain in his head. Nicholas was slowly up and sitting on the ground, looking dizzily at the people there. There was a.. lion..? Very jumpy and nudging at him. He would be afraid of the animal later because Solinera was not in sight and there was a girl there, not his sister but someone else. The most significant fact and the easiest to catch was that she was naked.


Androkles whined as the light struck his eyes and he turned his head away, stopping in his tracks. He looked back the moment he could see properly again and attempted make sense of the events that had just taken place. There was no more Aveena but a new lioness who was yelling for an odd name, unheard of in these parts. There was a human female but they all looked the same to him, except this one did not have the odd removable fur they all so often did. The male was apparently getting up from the shock of the light just as he had too. Androkles stayed still, judging the scene with care and trying to decide whether or not to approach.

Solinera sighed in relief when she saw Nicholas waking up and tried nudging him again. Solinera's clothes were next to where Nicholas would have seen her first in lioness form, the bow with them. That looked like Solinera had been eaten, but Solinera didn't realise that. She had to get Nicholas to notice her as Solinera "Nicholas!" she cried out, knowing that she wasn't speaking human. She slashed at the ground in anger "its me Solinera!"

Aveena looked up at the lioness and Nicholas, and she couldn't see that the lioness was the human who shot her. She held her arm where it was bleeding tightly and winced. She saw the human boy looking at her, but was too confused to call out. She looked around and saw her brother there watching "Androkles!" she called out and then gasped when weren't growls or whimpers "no"

Nicholas whimpered and quickly crawled backwards, away from the lioness that seemed ever so angry and seemed like it might hurt him. His eyes caught the clothes on the ground now, with the bow, and he looked from them to the girl and then at the lion. What on earth had happened? This was absolutely too confusing. He also noted the girl being hurt, bleeding even, but was clearly unable to do anything with the lion inbetween them. The boy frowned, staring hopelessly at the situation.


Androkles growled quietly under his breath and began making his way forwards. He sat down on the edge of the crater and stared down at them all, mainly because he was so tall and they were all sprawled over the ground. The human male seemed naturally afraid of the new lioness and the female appeared wounded, the easiest scent he caught was the blood anyway. Androkles sniffed at the air lightly and glared from the human female, who smelled awfully like Aveena, to the lioness who smelled awfully like the other human or the clothes on the ground, The wind was gently blowing towards him and all of their scents drifted past. There was something horribly wrong there..

Solinera cried out as Nicholas whimpered and crawled away from her and followed after him "Nicholas please don't!" it hurt her to see Nicholas scared of her. She then smelled something on the air and frowned looking around, seeing an alpha male there. She couldn't move because of the fear she held for him, although she didn't know why

Aveena didn't want to know why there was a lioness, someone she had never seen before stalking a human who was obiviously without defences. She tried to move only to whimper in pain again. She looked over at the alpha male, spotting that the lioness was also looking at him and called out "ANDROKLES!" she said in a shout/loud whimper

Nicholas was more terrified when the lion followed him and kept going further away but was unable to stand and run. Then the lioness halted and he only went a few metres back from there, watching what was happening. Well it seemed to equal a male and female lion against that poor wounded human.
"Hey! Get out of there!" Nicholas yelled feebly, unable to make too much noise with a completely dry mouth.

Androkles thought the fear in the lioness' eyes was approriate and turned to look only at the human who smelled like Aveena did. The human made a loud, yet pathetic, noise at him and he growled furiously at her in reply, hoping to quiet her. Androkles then began walking towards Aveena, smelling her curiously. He was somehow positive it was his sister but it did not look like her which confused him beyond any possible point of being sane.
He turned his head to the humans again and figured the only answers may come from the only other lion there. He realized that animals were taken but also brought back by humans now and again and of course they smelled human for being with them, so maybe it was some pet to the pathetic meatbags.
"Woman. Who are you? Whose pack do you belong to?" He spoke at her angrily with a powerful commanding voice.

Solinera jumped when the alpha male adressed her and narrowed her eyes at him "what? Pack? oh" she whispered, of course, she looked like a lioness but at the same time she wasn't. She refused to be stuck in this pathetic body "I have no pack you idoit! I'm not even meant to be a lioness!" she said loudly at him, not even realising her mistake. She saw that Nicholas was talking to the new human, and then wondered who she was

Aveena crawled painfully around Androkles, seeing how the other male was scared, he seemed so frightened of what was going on. She reached him and touched his arm with her good arm, the only thing that was stopping her from falling flat on her face was the arrow stuck in her arm. Solinera's arrow. "The lion won't hurt me" she said softly, holding him tightly

Androkles roared and leapt at the rude lioness and he easily forced Solinera to the ground, holding his fierce claws at her neck.
"What happened here? Your next words shall be your last if you don't talk!" He shouted at her, enraged. His sister was gone, in a way at least, in a way she also seemed to be there but not as herself in appearance.

Nicholas blushed madly at the female's touch, he wanted her to get away but not come to him! How was he supposed to handle a fully grown female body so close, especially while she was bleeding. In all the confusion he somehow managed to take the arrow stuck to the woman under serious thought and came to realize it was theirs, well Sol's anyway.
He had no idea how she was wounded by Solinera. He never reached Solinera before being knocked out cold so what could have directed her attention away enough for her to hit some nudist jumping around, although jumping nudists did seem like a very disturbing and easily distractive concept. Then he remembered the white light and came to some form of a conclusion.
The light shone, distracting Solinera and she shot the arrow at some random naked person instead of the lioness who had now eaten her, thus the spare clothing, and the lions did not hurt the naked person. Like a... Female tarzan, she lived with the animals in the wild..?
The idea of Solinera being eaten seemed odd though and could not be true from a logical point of view. Her clothes, right, a lion did not undress and eat humans like some cannibal rapist but then again, if he had been out cold long enough maybe the 'Wild Woman' could have taken Sol's clothes before the lioness ate her. It was an idea but as far as he was concerned he still did not know what had happened or was going on.
"W-why, a-are they tame?" Nicholas stuttered, trying not to stare at the girl's.. well.. private parts, basically.

Solinera yelped as she was pushed to the ground the claws at her neck, seeming very sharp at that moment of time. Then she narrowed her eyes at him "how am I supposed to know? First of all I am about to do some hunting and then I wake up in this scraggy body! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?" she said shouting at him

Aveena frowned looking at them while holding the arrow in her arm tightly, she wanted to get it out. It hurt so much! She wimpered at the slightly pull of it. "I don't know about the lioness but I know the lion" she said softly "from past experience" she said looking at the arrow and growling softly at it

Nicholas kept his eyes concentrated on the girl's face and wound and he nodded absent mindedly at her explanation. It was somewhat painful to see her try and get the arrow out.
"D-do you want any help with that?" He asked nervously while holding his hands out towards the arrow, ready to grasp it if he was allowed to. Quick and painless, it ought to apply to pulling off band-aids as well as arrows. Now it reminded him of the movie Braveheart, with the arrow and all, and he was disappointed for not having anything hot to seal the wound with afterwards like in the actual movie.

Androkles growled quietly and pressed down on Solinera's face in a way which forced her mouth shut and kept her silent. He looked up at the humans now, wondering how this all could have happened. As being's of nature they did know of the natural elements of magic and he wondered if Aveena was showing signs of unnatural abilities in changing places with the earlier hunter. She was also wounded which worried him more if it actually was her.
"Aveena?" He called to the humans, not knowing whether they would understand. This was looking worse by the second. Frankly it was better to lose something than to have it turned into something so hated, because what was lost could be found.
