Plot
All journeys need a starting point
Just how vast is the universe? There is no true value for the size of our universe, it is constantly growing. What we do know is that in this universe, there is countless number of galaxies, countless amounts of solar systems, countless amounts of planets. One cannot imagine the vast existence that is out there. Some believe they are the only ones out there. That the universe centres on them. Some dare to dream what over life forms exists, some there to think that and some dare to say it. Some even conjure the idea that there are similar life forms such as themselves. But in the end this is but a dream, a theory, and a prediction. With no hard evidence to back it up, existence to them is but what is around them, what they can see, feel and touch. Little did they all know there was so much more to see, that they are but a tiny speck of dust.
It was long ago decided, that to maintain a stable peace in the universe, that all planets must know of themselves and themselves only. A single all powerful entity was tasked with this, to keep peace and to prevent planets from learning existence of others. For a long period of time the entity managed to do this, but while it did not change much, the planets did. Certain planets became far more advanced, some managing to breach their own atmosphere and traverse into space, not far but still a stunning accomplishment. The entity grew worried, as things were getting out of its control, at first those planets only visited uninhabited stellar objects. But soon they managed to traverse into the planets of others. However, the worst fears of the entity were not found. They came, they saw and took nothing and left nothing but a memory. The entity grew relaxed, seeing as how the creatures could play friendly with each other; it was in this slight lapse that gave birth to them. Known only as the 'Faction', a gathering of various planets that were not so keen on being docile. They spread out, like a virus, causing chaos where they went. The Faction weren't the kind to kill, no that was to easy and to simple. They wanted to cause trouble, as simple as that. Whether that be altering a planet's past, implanting advanced technology in a primitive civilisation, turning good people into bad, anything that would alter the flow of history in a country they would do.
It wasn't long until the worst fears were met, the Faction discovered the scales. Within each planet is a scale, a scale of good and evil. For a planet to function, the scales must be balanced. Without outside interference the scales shall always be balanced, but what the Faction discovered is that their deeds could affect the scales. Learning this of course they worked to make the evil end heavier. When the scales are too heavy on one end, the world itself becomes unable to support all this evil and ultimately destroys itself. The Faction continued to tip the scales, continued to destroy planets for their own amusement. But a much more malevolent plot was at play.
The entity acted of course, to ebb the flow of evil the entity chose to seal away the faction, but in the critical moment, when the time came to do it, the entity failed. Millenniums of nothing but peace made the entity weak, out of practice. The Faction in turned reversed the entity work and sealed away the entity itself. In the last moments, the entity released parts of its power and sent it scattering through the universe. Seeking a worth individual to take hold of this and fight the Faction in its place. For those who were lucky enough to be chosen for this power will find themselves on an epic journey throughout the universe. Traversing planet to planet, balancing the scales again and their ultimate goal, the destruction of the Faction.
Well than my friend, are you willing to take this journey, a journey with no end in sight?
