Click...click...click....another click and you yawn. You’ve played this dating sim more times than you can count now and sadly....you’re bored. You’ve tried to played other dating sims but you’ve quickly have become bored of them too. It seems as of late nothing you play seems to entertain you. You tried the Mighty Hero Dating Quest and you’ve won a date with everyone plus the secret boss ending. You tried Spacy Starkiss, and again won all dates with every alien including discovering a new planet and winning all the dates on it! You’ve played and beat three times the overly cute Oink Oink Kiss Kiss and kissed all the pigs. You even tried the odd and creepy Feisty Knitting Room....you’re actually not sure if you beat that one or not. It seems you’ve played them all. Can nothing satisfy you dating sim needs? But still, you’re bored. And honestly....a bit lonely.

In a gloomy mood, you close out the game you’re playing and decide, one last time, to search for a new dating sim game. You click on the Kettle icon on your desk top and begin to look at the new online games you can download. After a few long minutes to trying to find something, anything but coming up short, you sigh and decide maybe it’s just time to binge watch a new show or two. But right before you close the window, a popup appears on your screen. ‘Stupid adblocker not working...’ you grumble but actually take the time to read what it says before close it too. You read...

“Do you feel like a lonely NPC? Looking for someone to woo that you’ve never wooed before? Wanting to BE wooed by a dating sim character? Just want a nice cup of tea and small bite of cake? Well, maybe you, yes YOU! Need to play The Heart Break Café. A dating sim unlike any other.”

You pause your mouse and reread the ad again. A dating sim huh? It’s actually a cute ad now that you think about it. Little hearts floating around in a bigger broken one. There’s two ladies standing next to the heart, maybe the main characters? One is a demon looking lady with an eye patch, she’s smiling as if she knows something you have yet to figure out. The other lady is a smaller green zurg and she looks....well grouchy. She’s holding a broom and looking at you as if saying just TRY to make a mess. ‘Oh what the hell.’ It looks like a cute ad and you have to admit you’re curious to what kind of dating sim this could be. Maybe it’s a virus but you decide to take a risk and click on the ad.

Suddenly a blinding light comes from your screen, forcing you to cover your eyes. Your head feels a bit dizzy like you’re moving to fast and suddenly you begin to hear sounds that shouldn’t be in your room. The sweet smell of baked goods surround you and slowly you blink your eyes open. You’re no longer in your room looking at your computer. You’re in a small café that seems bigger the longer you stare. It’s full of all sorts of interesting people. Some human, some not but all are busy as they serve costumers who also look interesting. You blink your eyes once more and realize you recognize some of these people. They’re from dating sims you’ve played in the past! Just then you notice two ladies walking towards you and you can now see they’re they ladies from the ad. You’ve come to realized you’re IN the dating sim!

“Welcome to the Heart Break Café!”
The demon lady smiles at you. The zurg lady only frowns.
“You better not cause any trouble here.”
“Tr...tr...trouble?”
You can’t help but stutter in surprise. The little zurg eyes you.
“You SEEM like a trouble maker....I’ll have no smooching here!”
“Oh really now Meushi...”
The demon lady smiles more and speaks on.
“Why don’t you stay a while! Order some cake! This is the best place for dating sims to gather and get some rest!”
She pats you, rather hard, on the shoulder. The zurg glares at you more but only goes back to sweeping. You look around at the place, full of characters of games you’ve played. Maybe YOU’RE a character in a game too...you’re certainly drawn to this place. You decide to stay...just for a while and who knows maybe the Heart Break Café can cure that boredom you’ve been feeling....and maybe that loneliness too.

To one side of the cafe, and for some reason partly hidden in the shadows, is what appears to be a kissing booth. Coming closer, you see that it is, indeed, a kissing booth... of sorts. Above it you see the sign "Kiss or Diss?" painted almost in a rush...

"Are you just gonna stand there and stare all day, or you gonna play?" Lifting her head from where it had lain in boredom upon the counter, a white-haired kitsune stares you down with hypnotic ice-blue eyes. "Rules are rather simple, assuming you know how to read." Nodding to the side, your attention is brought to a smaller sign.



HOW TO PLAY
I will post when the Kiss-or-Diss Booth is open! But here's a rough idea of when that may be...

How to Enter:
Using items on Gaia as references, describe how your cafe would look like.
You can either make an avatar (using the avatar builder is fine), create an actual moodboard image or simply link to individual poses.
Colorwise, items you choose doesn't actually needs to match -- however, you need to specify the actual colorscheme you would use as a designer instead.

You don't know where to start? Here's a few suggestions of what you could include in your entry:
- Seats;
- Tables;
- Kitchenware;
- Decorations, such as picture frames or plants;
- Lighting.

I'm looking for things which looks well together and for creativity; so feels free to think "out of the box". Your cafe can be indoor, but it can also be an outdoor one. Simply go ahead and have fun!

stab-stab-stab- Why am I stabbing this sugary cake repeatedly with my sword in a fit of rage? I’m a samurai on a journey trying to find a certain someone (complicated status lover) but I’m stuck here with you guys for the time being.

To ease my frustration I collected some information for people who are looking for their missing valentines who all seemed to disappear around the same time. What makes this harder is that they all have a hard time remembering what these missing people look like. Something about seeing a black silhouette with the words UNLOCK.

They can only give me random facts about them. After some reading I concluded that a lot of the descriptions fit members of the HeartBreak Café which brings the question if everyone working here is being held capture against their will like me or they just like working here. Huh? Do you hear a strange ringing noise and seeing the words

There are a list of facts about someone in the HBC and it's up to you to find that person. Ask questions to see which facts apply to which person. Some members may want time to have a conversation with you before giving out information. I mean it's weird if you ask personal questions right from the start. Please be warn circumstances may come up for either you or that missing valentine that you two may end up being two samurais walking pass one another on a dirt road so good luck finding them at the right times!

If two people found the same correct missing person the first person to get it will win the prizes.

Just then a jingle from some unseen bell rings causing Meushi to look about the place, she pulls out a pocket watch and looks at it."Oh...it's that time again I see....well...arn't YOU all lucky....my shift is over...which means it's time for....AFTER DARK." With that, Meushi rips off her apron, grabs a cocktail and disappears under a table for the night....Meushi likes her alone time...

But if Meushi is off duty...then where will we get our sweet tunes from? Who will be hosting AD?! Why, only two of the biggest, wildest DJs in ALL of Gaia! Nico-Selvatico and Withered Bee!! So Keep your eyes open for these two when they pop up at night! What do they have plans to do? Who knows!? Meushi's off duty, it's these two's time to shine!
