Yes, please rerelease them, but not in RIGs. List them in the GC shop for us to select the items/MC envelopes we want for like $2.50 like we used to pay to get the items.

If I want a specific item, I want to have the ability to get THAT item opposed to wasting money on randomly granted MCs like Gaia did a few years back.

I have stumbled across these items in old RIGs over my years. So I thought they were obtainable?
I didn't buy them anyways as I didn't have an online cash flow until after 2010!

I think they should be re released without limitations of items that were not re release during the time. If you didn't get any of those items you were probably either poor or a kid who's parents would not buy gcash back then. I'd like to see the old mcs again for reasonable prices. It would be nice to get them for a certain amount of platinum in a new re-release shop. The shop could be used for release of new mcs and eis as well.

Thanks to the Daily Chance FREE mass re-release of so many old Donation Items and Monthly Collectibles, my “investment” in old DIs/MCs I bought with REAL MONEY has disappeared, as many are now all but worthless. cat_evil Gaia, I am disappoint!

The argument that so many people couldn’t get DIs/MCs was because they didn’t have the means to spend real money is bull.
It doesn’t matter if someone isn’t able to purchase with real money or not. Most of the “rich” Gaians I’ve seen over the last 17 years spent little to zero real money, yet we’re able to amass great virtual wealth.

1. Your OP doesn’t say whether or not these re-releases would be free, purchasable with plays, or purchasable at a Premium (real money cost). That difference means a whole lot.
If you are going to re-release them as a Premium (aka for real money), that would make sense.
Re-releasing them for plats just means that the rich (as in people who already have a lot of platinum) will still be the only ones who will have access (other than those of us who gave Gaia real money back in the old days).

2. IF you do decide to re-release (or continue to re-release through the DC), PLEASE DO NOT RE-RELEASE THE LETTERS. People who have voted for the old items to be re-released basically are saying they want to have the old items that are supposedly “out of reach”.
If you’re going to acquiesce to the masses and ignore the long-time members who were sending our hard-earned real money to Gaia to help it grow (and at some times, just stay afloat), then don’t screw us Oldbies too much; leave the Letters alone.

3. If you’re going to re-release these PREMIUMMCs at a price point that will make the originals basically worthless, you should do the same with other extremely expensive items such as:
🌟Hard to find Chance Items
🌟Old Cash Shop Items
🌟Angel Subscriber’s Items
🌟Gaia Pledges (flair, gifts, whatever you wish to call them)
🌟Items that have not had a listing in the MP for over 6 months.
🌟Items listed in the MP with an ABP at or above a certain amount (example: 50k plats)

Sell those 👆 items in a Gaia shop in the same sort of currency you sell any re-released DIs/MCs.

If the newer members want things to be “fair”, I think these things should all be done.

(Reason being that they are a Direct Buy only or have be released through events, tickets, & the Rewards.)

These methods don't always bottom out the price because if you look into Cloud 9 you will see that some items have actually INCREASED in GC price due to Staff following the APB of those items.
For example the Thirds God/Goddess items were set at 900 GC when they where first released.
They are now at 1000 GC so it was an increase.

There's a lqr item I missed the first time around for 650GC, it's been rereleased as 1500GC the last round of rereleases. It's marketplace price bloomed by 3T, going from unlisted to a couple up to unlisted again. I'm glad it got rereleased! Just...c9 has definitely driven the prices up on some things. BEs, LQRs, some gatcha fodder, etc. Sometimes C9 bundle contents goes up instead of down, because the bundles are extremely pricey and people want to get their money's worth.

Either way, thank you for bringing this up! It's easy to see if you're sticking to the updates every day.

Let's talk about Monthly Collectibles/Donation Items! Available every month from June 2003 to March 2017, these collectibles were originally promised to never be re-released. This changed under previous management, when many of these items were made available again through various means.

I think by that statement alone, the answer should be no. Selling someone something, especially for real money, then to turn around and change the terms afterwards? That's wrong.

I'd love a lot of donation items I missed out on over the years. I got a couple as a kid back when we could mail in money and fanart. Wish I'd gotten more. But I don't think you should based on how you sold them in the first place.

If you want to satisfy everyone, maybe the best option is having some kind of extremely similar but distinct item like a very slight recolour. Or call it a 'bootleg' or something in the item name so it satisfies both newer users who just want a chance to wear them, but doesn't make the people who already bought the item feel scammed.

as someone who owns every single monthly collectible from the black friday sale and multiple A halos. im totally fine with this and i hope that others can experience these items to make their dream avis. if you do re release the older one like the angelic halo maybe just change the name and make it the exact same look just different item name like Angelic Halo[re-release]

One thing that needs to change is their name. They are not donation items or monthly collectibles anymore.

Why not go all the way, and re-release user items that were in limited quantity too? Club Verge? Old event items? Just throw away everything to the masses, this site will never be back on its feet anyways.
