How do they compare buy sell price? How much would you get for reselling all these formulas vs reselling 1,644 alchemist cases?

I found one alchemist case long ago in the daily chance and it had a Norman formula in it. I noticed right off the bat that the mats to create this formula cost more than if I just bought Norman outright from the marketplace. So it didn't make a lot of sense to me and I regretted not selling it.

I found one alchemist case long ago in the daily chance and it had a Norman formula in it. I noticed right off the bat that the mats to create this formula cost more than if I just bought Norman outright from the marketplace. So it didn't make a lot of sense to me and I regretted not selling it.

Practically all of the Alchemist's Case formulas sell for far, far less than the Case itself. This is because lots of people have been feverishly opening tons of cases trying to get the ultra-rare Inizio formulas, thus putting the more common formulas (read: almost every other formula) into the economy in much greater numbers than anyone's actually interested in crafting or owning.

Prices can fluctuate, so I'll just give you this Marketplace Link. It sorts all Special Items (a category that includes the Alchemist's Case itself and alchemy formulas) that are tagged with the keyword "case" by price, starting with the most expensive. It's not perfect, as it contains a rare few other Special Items that happen to contain the word "case" in their tags, as well as formulas that used to be in the Case but got removed from it without having their tags updated, and a few formulas that are in the Case were never tagged as such (including two thirds of the Inizios), but it gives a fairly decent picture.
