Come Make International Pen Friends

I would really like to meet people from all over the world. Talk about daily lives and all the differences. Get to know each other and the differing cultures of our homes.

And I know a lot of people are looking for that as well. So I want to offer a place for everyone to come together, become pen friends and just make strong, genuine friendships.

Now with the technological age, a pen friend has come to be something different and we're losing the sense of a good written letter and I think that is a pity. I would love to find an actual pen friend as well as someone to just exchange emails with.

My Introduction:
My name is Matthew, I'm 23 and currently live in Moscow, Idaho and I was born and raised in Norther California. At the moment, I currently don't attend school, but hope to attend a cosmetology school here soon.

I love doing makeup, reading, listening to music, going on walks and hikes, camping, swimming, watching movies, some television and chatting online with friends.

I've always been fascinated with other countries and cultures. I love that there are such different people in this world but we are all the same. The fact that someone thousands of miles away could be just like you excites me.

So it seems that things here are moving along nicely. Slowly, but nicely. But there aren't many people posting. I really want to help people make friends, explore other cultures, and learn what it's like to live a day in another persons shoes.

I want this place to grow into a friendly, safe place for people to come and talk about anything they want, meet interesting and exciting people and hopefully form life long bonds with someone from a different place.

So, to try and get things moving along, I ask that those interested please post more often. Try and stop by at least once a day just to see if there's any one new and kindly welcome them. I will be doing my best to get on here more often and keep things going. I'm also offering a bumping position to anyone that may be interested or someone to promote the thread. I'm going to speak of my country. The life here is a little complicated for young people who come in the active life. I don't know if we can say "active life" in english. Too much difference in the education shool system between the country, i think. So the economy of each country is different, but i think the people who gouvernment us, are so old to understand the modern life and modern spirit.
When I went to Canada in 2005, I was impressed to see how people had no idea what was really going on elsewhere. At least for my country. For a large majority, especially those who have not traveled, like other countries are clichés. The media contribute.
Maybe i've a distorted vision of situation.

I can completely understand what you mean. I suppose Canada and America are a little more younger generation friendly.
In my opinion, I think there should be younger people in office. Someone to speak for the youth of our countries. It's really hard being in your late teens and early 20s because people tend to view you as immature and inexperienced. Just because I'm 23 doesn't mean I'm not well educated, have good manors, know how and when to be an adult and have gone through a lot of hardships in a short period of time.
Though the modern spirit can be a little hard to see under all of the technology, status updates and hash tags, there really is something amazing.

You're right, in France, is exactly the issue with young people and working.... not enough experimented, too young, the employer don't trust them. And after you are too old !!! xd

And that's why I hate looking for work. No one trusts younger people.

Not at the moment. I can't really afford college and I didn't finish high school. Another reason employers don't like me, haha. Do you?

Hello, I'm Shannon and also from Scotland.
I'm still in school but hope to get into teaching.
I'd be very happy to learn about other cultures and hopefully teach about my own, due to the fact that most people who speak to me about Scotland have the completely wrong idea.
