I don't do single poses for references it's either all or nothing. Especially seeing just because a pose might be familiar to a character it doesn't mean it's exclusive to them.

You're allowed to be sharp. Goodness knows the amount of people I've seen suffer online from actual troublemakers, so that people tend to think the worst first. Even so, I'll try to be more careful about items poses in the future.
