what does it do? surprised ive never heard of that alignment before

Sorry for the late reply. How to best explain it ... "Justify" spaces out words so it creates a straight edge down the left and the right. Like the text in books and magazines, or the text columns in a newspaper. It's nothing that is absolutely necessary, it just makes larger chunks of text look more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. sweatdrop

Like this:
blah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blah blah blah blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah. Sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text text text text blahblah blah sample text. Blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blah blah blah blah blah blah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blah

Compared to this:
blah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blah blah blah blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah. Sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text text text text blahblah blah sample text. Blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blah blah blah blah blah blah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blahblah blah sample text blah

Just to chime in -- I tend to use it when I'm posting, say, text from a news or magazine article, since it makes it look all clean and neat (also used to use it on all my class papers, the theory being that it'd make it look that much neater and more organized, basically subliminally trying to squeeze out a higher score...).

But honestly, I hadn't even noticed the lack of a button for it -- I'm so used to just typing out the tags as I go!

It does, not sure if you realize it, though. All browsers support justified text.

Notice how the top one fills the whole space from right to left compared to the latter.

GU > Items > Uncheck "Enable item favorites"

Thank you... that seemed to be the issue, but exactly how are items decided to be marked as favorites? I mean... is there a way to chose them yourself, or is it based on if the item is used on an outfit in the closet or what?

Most of the items that were turned blue for me, just seemd like really odd, random things and not things I wear all the time? I'm not sure if I hit a certain key while I was selecting them that marked them as favorites and can unmark them the same way and mark ones I would like to keep as favorites to use that feature in the future?

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

i believe shift+click is what marks them as favorite
so if you were organizing your inventory, and moving things around, shift+click is what you use to select multiple items, so it conflicts

AH... That would make sense why so many of the items were marked randomly, as I was moving several things at a time. Thank you for the info. I might re-enable the feature and play around with it now that I know what is happening and how to work it.

i would just suggest using ctrl+click instead of shift+click if you enable it
because that way you can select multiple items [albeit one at a time] without accidentally faving/unfaving items

Someone just pointed me to GaiaUpgrade yesterday, and I installed it. I love the fact that I don't have to stare at the ugly promotional backgrounds, but I noticed an issue with margins. Before I installed the upgrade, forums would stretch right to the edge of whatever screen I was using (completely hiding the background). Now, there's about a 1 inch margin of background showing, making the texts narrower. (But it doesn't show in guilds.) I'm not tech-savvy enough to describe my concern better than that.

Sorry if someone's already answered this earlier in this thread.

if you prefer the forums filling up the screen, make sure the "centered forums" is turned off

I won't know until I get home--not allowed to installed mods on public computers, just had time to login with a question that's been bugging me all day.

oh, okay

for future reference then, its under the forum tab
and there is a checkbox for "enable centered forums"
if it is marked, then unmark it and refresh the threads and see if that was your issue.

if not, do let the devs know cuz otherwise i would be at a loss, lol.
