so is this a patch we're waiting for that you guys have figured out a potential solution or is it still trying to be understood

We actually have the fix. I knew how to fix it immediately - even if it hadn't broken we'd still use the new method of checking owned items because it's faster.

That said. We currently are not supporting the userscript any longer in favor of the standalone browser extension. We have several modules already completed. Unheard is just going through now and making sure the modules are all properly working in the full release.

I've submitted a beta version of what we have to Firefox; though it does not implement a good number of the modules completed. That beta version is pending approval in Mozilla's long, long approval queue. gonk
I've poked at it a bit, trying to get Firefox to install a self-signed extension from Gaia Tools, but no luck. On my local machine it says the download fails and on the server it says the extension is corrupted. gonk

So for now, it's just a waiting game... Sorry. sweatdrop

I think users will be quite happy with it. The extension seems to execute fairly quickly, most features should be seamlessly added to the page. We'll do performance tweaking in the future - the faster it is the better. 3nodding

Just inform you, I switched to a animal form in the avatar tab. Once I went back to change I could not, I continued messing with settings and even attempted to use a potion to change back. None of it worked. The only way to fix it was to turn off the script for gaiaupgrade.

Can you list in order the exact steps to reproduce this? 3nodding

Not sure. I was playing normally.

Switched to the animal form in the avatar dress-up tab and went to towns after saving.
I went to change and I could not click on the arrow to go over left one to the human form.

GaiaUpgrade integrates seamlessly into Gaia. However, there are still incompatibilities with BetterGaia. So it's not fully compatible and we don't plan to cater to other extensions as there are too many factors to account for and GU is suppose to work out of the box with Gaia.

Yes. That's one of our targets for the first release; to be compatible with Firefox, Edge, and Chrome / Opera. Four of the five major browsers have an implementation of the Chrome Extension API. Though we're not sure we can meet the Edge target in the first because of not being able to successfully load the extension in the browser for testing, but it should be compatible.

That sounds like they were using another browser extension, but we do have plans to implement something like that.

The user was asking about the aforementioned browser extension that we are working. The userscript is cross-browser because of the script managers, but is limited in terms of what it can do.

I actually have this same issue from time to time but I don't have BetterGaia installed.
Mostly it just happens when I'm editing my signature or something so I haven't thought to mention anything about it.
