I’m gonna go ahead and deem Scobre the winner of this argument.
Scobre is providing links and valid points in response to Smut’s posts, and I simply have to applaud her for all the work and research.
Smut tries to explain his standpoint, but I'm afraid he doesn’t do it very successfully. It’s almost impossible to keep up with his arguments, partly because of the grammar but also because of the reasoning, which I’m not sure anyone else can follow but him.
As for the economy-comic (heh); it’s very simplified, yes. But as far as I can see, it’s not wrong.

GGs might not be the sole contributor to the inflation (there are other factors to consider), but you don’t have to study economics to realize that GGs CAN’T have a positive effect on an economy, no matter how you look at it. When anyone can get their hands on 150b gold with that little effort, something bad is bound to happen. You don’t even have to spend any money to count as “poor” anymore. When people around you uses GGs to get more and more gold, your gold WILL be worth less and less.
So yeah, I think this comic sums up the situation pretty well.

I don't care about winning an argument. I generally like being different. I was just trying to provide information about inflation. But no matter how hard I tried, there was no success. I'm just tired of the prejudice against vendors for inflation when they have been around for years and some of them have bought GGs as well. So it's like hating yourself I guess. I don't know anymore. It's just silly how items people are able to get in a month or less took me many months to years to quest myself. Gold is easier to get now for everyone. I don't blame people for buying GGs, since it's instant gratification that Gaia Interactive can easily profit off of. Anyway sorry for getting off topic. I just really like the comic and if people still don't want to accept the facts about the effects of GGs even with a simply comic, they'll never get it because they like buying the product. Can't stop them from that. I just went to college for business and took around 4 econ courses. I really enjoyed the subject. If anything I learn from this thread is in all the time trying to explain inflation to people, I could be making money with a real stock market and learning how to do that in small amounts. It is interesting just following my dad's stocks that he buys. I'm amazed at the similarities of Gaia's marketplace and a real stock market.
