Also, by the way, how do you get the header image to fill up the entire area, its big enough but it leaves small spaces on the right and left, not filling the entire area up.

It looks like you have the header set to overflow, which will create that gap. Gaia's banner size is 970px wide, so any extra space you have on either side of your browser window will be filled with the overflow header.

To turn this off, simply go to BetterGaia's options panel and uncheck "Overflow Header Background". There is no way to make the header image span the whole browser window.

Actually, the blog is hosted on wordpress, and the header is the one from Gaia's support site.
