Good evening, Gaians! And what an exciting one it is. We've got a brand new craft-able CI GoFusion. What did you say? Are we near an ocean right now? No! Not at all! The aroma around you is from our brand new CI: The Fishing Market! This is a particularly interesting CI as it contains three NEW fish never seen in Gaia Fishing in addition to older fish from the past! I overheard Cresento stating the Cloud Angelfish, Pearl Angelfish, and Blossom Angelfish will be part of a recipe for one of his elusive new formulas. And remember, you can only receive a chance at winning one of the new fish from fusing The Fishing Market in GoFusion!

gaia_crown It contains fishes from the three lakes of Gaia's Fishing game, including the rare fishes. And junk/trash as well.
gaia_crown Each single contains at least 3 fishes, but there's the occasional 5 fishes.
gaia_crown Fishes from Bass'ken Lake are common, and Gambino & Durem are uncommon. Junk is also uncommon.
gaia_crown This RIG seems to be a temporary way of acquiring fish from the fishing game while fishing is still down because of captcha problems.
gaia_crown It also contains the 3 new fishes required in the recent alchemy formula update: Blossom, Cloud and Pearl Angelfish. These 3 are rare drops though. There's a possibility that these 3 would be new fish added to Port of Gambino if you read their item tags. Be aware though that each formula requires 10 fish to craft the new items.

Example: Formula 5 - Cloud Angelfish Blessing requires 10 Cloud Angelfish and 2 Angel Imp's Feather to be able to craft the item.

And given that the 3 fishes are rare drops, it might take a while to craft them. Better wait for fishing to be fixed and the new fishes added.

gaia_crown Be warned! Unless you get one of this new fishes (or get one of the rares), this RIG is not worth it.

I'm somewhat happy yet also disappointed in this RIG. You see, I and several others suggested this RIG at the recent ATS threads as a temporary fix for the fishing game's captcha problem. They did take up the suggestion, but I'm disappointed that they put it in GoFusion. The fish drop rates were also similar to what we suggested, but mostly getting small fishes hurts me. I feel that it's not worth it, given that the price of charms are in the 60-250 million range, and a lot of the drops here aren't even a million. One single is already a billion gold in the MP, and getting 3 small fishes from Bass'ken lake that's collectively worth 100-150 million isn't just worth it. So I feel happy that Gaia took up the suggestion yet also feel sad and disappointed with what I got from the RIG, considering I spent 7-8 billion gold just to acquire the missing charms I needed. My luck isn't good today.

Update: Added the announcement banner, links and promo image. Also stopped being lazy and added an item list (My hand hurts from all that clicking and typing). Then silently cry as I stare at the diamondback lion in the promo image. Rare fish is still rare.

I am tempted to get a 25 pack because the announcement did feature some rare fish. emo Hopefully I could get one. If only they made this like the bug trap. xD Easy to get with rares popping out once in a while.

Actually, those who play Fishing was hoping Gaia didn't make a Fishing RIG since they felt that it would ruin Fishing and economy (Of course, I will admit I don't understand how it will ruin the economy.) However, few of us including myself hope to believe that this Fishing RIG will be temporary while the game is down. That way, once the game is up, we hope that the RIG will be removed.


Anyway, here's my two cent for this thread. While I don't like the price of the charms when crafting the RIG, it's kinda make sense why they're expensive. It's because we don't want to make it as "easy catch" once the Fishing game is updated. However, I kinda wish that the price is lower and reasonable for us to craft it as well as being temporary for substituting the game when it's down. I will admit that I don't know if it's temporary or not, but if it is, I hope Gaia will remove it once the Fishing game is up.

Also, I'm kinda sad (yet glad too?) that Green Seedkin isn't in it. I kinda need it for Alchemy. emo

I'm happy that we have an exclusive CI in gofusion, specially since I asked if we were gonna get something like this a few weeks back.

I'm glad that there's gonna be some fish drops now while fishing is broken.

I'm not so thrilled about the the quantity of charms needed for this.

I only crafted a single and sold it.

So...lemme see if I can do the math right...

You can trade 100 common fish for a single large fish, and 1000 large for a rare fish, right? With absolutely optimum results using 3 fish/package, that's...

100,000 / 3 = 33,334 packages (with all the same fish in each package)

Which means 1,333 of the 25 packs, and 9 individuals.

Or, 733,690 heart charms, 13,420 star charms, and 66,650 diamond charms for 1 rare fish.

...

I really hope I have a number wrong somewhere.

It's nice that there is a way to get some fish while fishing is broken and it's probably done so that it doesn't hurt the rarity of fish for when Fishing does come back but the cost to craft this with charms is still much to steep compared to what you get in return on average. I won't be touching it unless the rates are changed or something along those lines. I hope Fishing comes back soon.

Gaia once had said something to the effect, that the coding for fishing was soooo old that it wasn't able to fix it like it needs to be for better captcha. (kinda like they said they couldn't fix zOMG because no one knew how to fix it, then all of the sudden it was getting 'maintenance'. )
