Why would you want to sue a company that you so call love, for your own stupidity? TONS of people have been hacked with out giving out their passwords and you don't see them trying to get anything out of it. They take it and move on-I did- And shes 13, if she is educated like the article claims, then she would have taken a hint after this past years annoyingly obvious efforts of telling all users that the Mods will/would NEVER EVER ask for your password.

Its not even a good argument against gaia, If you look through all the posts, and announcments you can see their many posts and updates to help stop things like this from happening. Every time you log on the internet you are at risk of some sort of hacking situation, every website has its hackers. But thats a risk you are willing to take every time you sign in and show your self to the virtual world. You can blame a web site-which is trying to keep you aware of this problem- for your faults! Its a childish thing to do.

Also, I think if anything like that should happen, many of Gaia's faithful users (including myself) would be backing them up the whole way. No way we're going to let someone's foolish mistake ruin everyone else's fun.

I'm glad awareness is being raised for hacking and scamming victims to get their stuff back. Yes I believe scamming victims should have their stuff returned .
However the comments about murder are truly overreacting. Being hacked or scammed is like a theft NOT a murder. Or the victim of a serious crime...Once again over the top. I'd say minor crime depending on how much the loss was.
A serious crime is having your home burn from arson, being raped or mugged at knife-point.
I've had worse crimes committed against me then this... rolleyes
