No offense intended, but you just answered your own question.
Some people find it "pointless and rude" to make one of these threads before the item is actually released. I don't necessarily care either way, but I've seen from other people doing this in the past that some people do feel this way.

Haha no offense taken, but of course I obviously answered myself in my statement. I merely used that question to justify my post. I would rather not post "How pointless and rude.", I needed to at least explain my reason for saying so. Yes I could have stated it in a different way, but I chose not to.

Anyways, I understand the mentality of those who would down vote this thread... but it is still pointless. Yes I can understand that one would be against an individual posting such a thread days in advance to reserve the topic, but this is not the case in this thread.

Like you said, the promo page has already been put up, so we all know that the item will be released today.
If someone had made an item list a week before the item was released, then I could see a problem, but there's nothing wrong with you making this thread when you did.
I was just explaining why people might be voting the thread down. Sorry if I sound mad, it's not intentional.

This thread is rude and pointless. Way to go claiming something before its even released, and never giving anyone else a chance to make an item list. I have seen so many item threads startup with people having hopes of making an item list, but you have a monopoly on the business.
