Hah, you're totally right. I really don't know how many people buy the really expensive items, anyways. Wasn't there an item in the Verge thing selling for $1000 at one point? O_o

The Angelic Halo was on sale last Black Friday for $1000.

Beyond that, the Alchemy backwings were selling recently for $400/$500 for a weekend. (I don't recall which.) Club Verge apparently regularly has the monthly Mythrill bundles selling for $550. Other than that, I've heard of $200 exclusive items in Verge, but most of everything else has been in the (still absurd) $35-$100 range.

Honestly, I'm wondering what they expect to sell this year's Black Friday. By then, everyone will just not care anymore.

When the Cash Shop came out, I really thought they were setting $10 as the limit. This would ensure that the items are reasonably affordable for the average person's entertainment budget.
I think you should cancel your subscription until they bring the prices back down to normal.

I did it and I have no regrets.

It all came down to common sense for me. I was giving Gaia my money month after month for years on end even though there was pretty much nothing I really wanted to spend my money on anymore.

Why should I keep giving them money if I 1) don't want anything they're selling and 2) they're conducting business in a way I don't agree with? It didn't makes sense to me to say, "I don't agree with you, but I'm going to give you money anyway."

I was never on AutoCash, but I was a regular spender - usually over $25/month. I would buy GC when I needed it for Cash Shop items, and I always bought enough to leave myself extra so I could also get Aquarium items or other premium items.

This week, I took my Aquarium out of my signature, because I really don't plan to use it again. Booty Grab has never, ever profited me in any real way, and now that I can't (and won't) buy expensive fish, it never will again. The enjoyment I get out of the occasional free fish that comes my way is not enough to crap up my signature or click over to the Aquarium.

I was also a vendor who bought RIGs and other high-end items and sold them on the Marketplace without opening them; I got the monthly donation letter. There were some months where I would literally be purchasing GC once a week (or more frequently) to play around on the site with.

Right now, I will not buy GC again, for any reason. I have 67 GC left over from a year ago when I was active and was not only buying GC but doing the video/offer free GC options. I no longer do those anymore, either, and I will not be spending that 67 GC - I'll eat my losses until such time as Gaia turns around for the better.
