Hey, why don't we fill up the (unofficial)wikipedia pages?

There's a ton of things missing, like NPC descriptions/backstories, information on old events, NPC portraits, ect. And only one person per wika seems to be working on each of them right now; which seems like a lot of work.

Why not work together as a community to fill it up? A ton of people are still around from the early days of Gaia to help record things on the wiki. To be honest, I really would like for there to be an easily accessible compilation of Gaia lore. Especially the story relevance and backstories of NPC Characters; which is lost on a lot of users today who were not around during past events. A lot of users don't care about the lore anymore because it's just not easily accessible.

For users who didn't know; past events were sometimes very deeply interactive... In some cases, player interaction with NPC's -outside the manga- actually had effect on the plot(09's romantic . interests were actually two real players on the website, not random fictional people based on players at the time). So it's almost impossible to track everything down without the help of users who where actually there.

Getting all of the Gaia lore will definitely require going through event forums in the archives (And here) In events like Zurg and The vampire conflict; most of the plot occurred outside the manga in either videos or on the forums.

Gaia's history is very long and complicated. A lot of information on old events in particular, are things only Gaian's from the early days are able to fill. So if you know something, write it in!

Please speak to the Wika managers Bunai or GOROMI if you are not sure how to proceed. I'm personally working on the storyline one.

Is that the wiki that "cleaned up" the NPC articles by wiping out the old content and replacing them with placeholder templates, which remained for literally years?

Because if so, that's a big part of why I'm not interested in contributing. You can't be wiping out content before you're updating it, that's no way to run a wiki.

Also not a big fan of Wikia wikis in general.

Not entirely. You can still write in information under what is already on the pages; if you know things that aren't on the page.

But I get what you mean.

I guess I could join in. I randomly chose two articles and stuffed in some extra information, and it was honestly a bit fun.

But I do think a lot of pages are too much, specifically those pertaining to certain dates or years. A lot of these articles could easily be condensed into one.

Reminds me of when I was more active and was in for the SOP, Save Our Plot shenanigans. I had completely forgotten about the wiki page.

The problem is finding source material now, with the search function so finicky. You can search through google, but sometimes you can't find what you need to for some reason, after the migration. It's one thing to fill up an article, but I like linking sources and that feels more challenging than before.
I'd be more likely to write a technical or instructional article, than something about NPC history. A lot of it is fuzzy for me now, though I miss regular updates for it. It was nice in recent years, that we got to see characters grow and move on with their lives.

Agreed. But if we all work together, i'm sure we can get things done.

One or two people isn't going to cut it. It would have to be a larger effort.
