As much as I want the healer, you need to get the thief immediately. If you don't, you'll lose the merc. He's not going to stick around the hero for free. >.<

go to the healer
his leg is probably fractured, or he has a sprained ankle, no good for chasing thieves/fighting dragons
never know when you'll need a healer in your party either
plus cleric items are always qt redface

I was just about to say this. Having a cleric in the party can help in the later fight, plus they can heal broken bones or sprained body parts.

As far as this has been going, I think it'd be best to get the cleric in the end. The very first option had both the girl and the dog survive and therefore didn't lose any characters (so to speak).

The merc seem like an honorable guy already and no doubt will catch the thief on your behalf before returning to you to give back your wallet, pay or no.

For the sake of getting the thief, let the mercenary go ahead! I don't want the story to just be about gathering a bunch of people with no money and no idea if the girl is still alive because they took too long.

I'd go with going to the healer since it would be helpful in the long run when they eventually go after the girl.

But if going to the healer wins I'm crossing my fingers that the poses will be gender neutral.

Time to split the party! Mason and Lyel can continue to chase the thief. Our hero needs to go and find a healer. Running on an injured leg is the best way to make a minor injury a major one.
