Welcome to our Halloween event this year!

Status: Lurking. Not much left to add to the thread. Happy Halloween!


This is my first guide, pleas be kind! I'm really excited to be bringing you all of this information for the event but I can't do it alone. I appreciate any and all help in keeping this up to date.

Event FAQs

Trick or Treating

How do I get the trick or treat items?
xxxxxGo the Shops! Every shop, with the exception of the cash shops and Loyal's will give you candy.

The shopkeepers are saying they already gave me candy!
xxxxxCheck and make sure you've visited all of the shops, there is a candy icon on the ones you haven't visited yet.

I got "x" item before "y" item on your list, is this a glitch?
xxxxxThe item you get from trick or treating appears to be random; they are not in any order.

Soul Candies & Item Exchange

Where do I get Soul Candies?
xxxxxYou get them from Switchem, attacking, healing, killing, and randomly in the forums.

What are they used for?
xxxxxThey are used as team points, but you can also redeem them for items!

Where do I exchange them?
xxxxxOn the main event page.

How much do Soul Candies get me?
xxxxxYou need 100 candies to redeem a prize. The prizes are random. According to Zero Omega you can get items from the advocate set, potions, or gold.

Are those three items limited on the exchange page?
xxxxxYes, however Gaia will reset the counter every day at a random time so it's more limited per day than for the whole event.

Why are the Advocate items soul bound?
xxxxxThey will be available for trade and sale after the event. The idea was that people were not monopolizing on specific items.

Battle System

How does this battle system work?
xxxxxZero Omega did a comprehensive guide in the event forum here.

What happened to the battle system from last year with our levels?
xxxxxDoesn't look like it's in use this year.

I keep dying!
xxxxxThey just added home forums for the teams. You can go there safely to heal, you'll also gain 50 health per post in your home forum.

How do I battle bosses?
xxxxxYou need to defeat 10 people before being able to fight a boss.

These bosses are so hard! How do I kill them?
xxxxxYou'll need your advocate gear and potions. Make sure someone is healing you in between turns!

Do I need to equip my Advocate items for them to work?
xxxxxYes you do! For Paws bases, you can change you avatar to Human, save it, and then switch back to paws for it to take effect.

Achievements

Remember, event achievements may take some time to grant. Check your achievement page after a few hours before reporting it as a glitch. Many users are reporting the 100 attacks/heals before getting the 10.

Switchem

Switchem is back ladies and gents! Here the link.

So far, the game is giving out Soul Candies. The range seems to be from 25-50 from current reports. Once you beat a level again you'll be granted 100k for each level instead of soul candies.

Soul Candies are used as a point system for the score of both teams as well as can be redeemed for items on the main event page. More info on Zero's guide here. Images are below for how they appear in the forums.

Not really into either team right now. The forum battle doesn't have any Halloween feeling whatsoever and I am disappointed with that. I love the Trick or Treating in the Shops, always happy to see that feature. I do wish Trick or Treating in Towns would make a comeback, I used to love doing that...

So far this is what I have gotten. I haven't joined an event side yet.


The first time you beat each level:

Level 1 - 25 Soul Candies
Level 2- 28 Soul Candies
Level 3 - 30 Soul Candies
Level 4 - 33 Soul Candies
Level 5 - 37 Soul Candies
Level 6 - 40 Soul Candies
Level 7 - 44 Soul Candies


If it isn't your first time beating a level you will get 100k gold.

I am wayyyy too excited, as Halloween is my favourite holiday. I haven't picked a side yet, it's more conflicting than I thought it would be
I'm already seeing complaints about the lack of team "home/base" forum, but wasn't it like that for the last two events?

Thanks for letting me know. I don't tend to do the main events anymore since I'm saving up my gold. So I'll just so see what you can do with the candies.
