You have to admit, this is pretty low even for them. I've never heard of ANYadministration doing something this scumbag. Manipulating the ABP to pressure for sales and then being caught red-handed outright lying about it. I agree with the users who say they're going to a retraction of the statement that they won't interfere with the MP just like they did with MCs when they were forced by the community to do so. I also wouldn't be surprised if the recent LQ clarification was because someone did report them to the BBB or the FTC.

Even I never imagined in a million years that things would get this bad.

they are backed up with tickets, if they seriously have the time to do comissions for random users for gold instead of actual items people paid real money for (& enough to make at least 133 trillion...) i would fire the artist.

I had put some stuff in the marketplace the same day this happened for like TEN BILLION more than what the ABP was and they freaking sold. I was flabbergasted, but even more so because now, the prices on those items keep rising. It's really only a result of the huge amount of gold that was dumped into this system because of this.

Whether their intentions were to simply pull the ticket out of the system or to increase marketplace inflation, this was an incredibly stupid move and I am thoroughly disgusted by what happened. I'm more inclined to believe it really was to increase inflation, because who the ******** pays that much for something?

I agree. I don't think silence necessarily implies guilt, but it certainly is unnerving if nothing else and not helping their case, whatever that may be. Considering how quickly they jumped on the other thread, this one that's been posted in multiple places, should have drawn someone's attention by now.

i think people have no clue how staggeringly big of an amount 133T even for an artist with godly skills (133T = 133,000,000,000,000)

I just commissioned an artist for 500B - it's a high end offer for an art of same quality as my profile art (just visit my profile to see) - the artist friend I commissioned is faster than normal artist ...but this art will likely take her 2-3 weeks to make


500B per art... that is about 266 art pieces to make 133T

i repeat.... 266 epic art pieces

and lets say you are so awesome and could do 1 art like this per week ..... there's 52 weeks in one year ... so 266 art pieces, that is APPROX. 5 YEARS xDD


gold wasn't even worth that much since the hyperinflation 2-3 months ago, definitely impossible to raise that much gold in so little time without drawing any attention

I've seen people mention having double digit trillion gold here and there and didn't really think much of 133T.

also that looked like 1337 and I was confused for the longest time while reading that.

You're trying to contradict people when you barely have any idea of what you were talking about.

asking a question does not automatically mean I'm trying to argue a certain point.
It means that I do not know and that I would wish to be informed.

Several people have given me information that I'm not sure I would have found just by poking around. Such as how much spare time an artist has etc.

I've been trying to wave around a little white flag for awhile now, but this "issue" could have just been left at "no - here's why" then DONE.

In case you're correct OP, I commend you on your pro sleuthing.
In the (unlikely) case staff can clear this up in a satisfying manner, nothing of value is lost.

What bothered me most about the whole thing, from the moment another user brought up the sudden spike in mp revenue and the matter of the ticket sale coming to light subsequently, was, that this obscene amount of gold, more than even the richest vendors have taken years to slowly amass through a lot of work, was basically handed nilly-willy to a single individual (I don't blame the person that got it, since they never expected anyone to buy the ticket for that price). Releasing that much gold into the economy and to a single user to boot is just not right. And any smart person would not have overpayed that much for that ticket.

I wonder how they imagined it wouldn't be noticed, and probed. Perhaps they are not sufficiently familiar with Gaians.
