Wow, that was an incredibly unnecessary thing to be sent to you. What you said could even be interpreted to supporting Paws, but some Paw users seems to be a very sensitive bunch. I wonder if whoever sent that realizes the reason we don't have more Paw items is directly related to their poor sales. That's it.
It's also a new base - OF COURSE we have more Human base items, the human base has existed for more than 10 years! -___-;;
And I'm sorry, but some Paw users and some users in general in GCD need to CHILL TFO when it comes to demanding item releases. Holy cow, if I was an Artist on Staff I would be terrified to come in to these threads because of how demanding and rude some users can be, not seeming to realize that the Staff members are human too.

I've been around Gaia for a long time, and my goodness, we never used to get item releases the way we have in the last two years. Doesn't anyone realize that a human being is on the other end of all of this, physically pixeling the items? Don't people understand that those Artists' hours need to be paid for? Don't the users here also understand that having new items come out every day means the Staff must consist largely of Artists, which limits the amount of payroll that could be allotted to OTHER PROJECTS NOT RELATED TO NEW ITEMS.
For real though, if people weren't so gung-ho on the dress up items, and were also interested in the additional features of this site, then we'd have more developers on Staff. We need a Housing update. We need a Guilds update. We need the Marketplace Tagging System to finally be put in place. We need more Lake Kindred updates. The list goes on endlessly.
All other projects are put on the sidelines of item / RIG / CI releases. And on top of that, guess why we have so many gold generators? They're paying the bills. I hate them so much, but that is a fact that cannot be ignored. And as far as Staff is instructed, attention goes where money flows.
(Also, to anyone who thinks this website makes a lot of money - sorry to burst your bubble, but Gaia is sooo in debt I highly doubt it as a company actually makes any profit yearly.)

Plus Paw items barely have any detail on them, the legs, arms and stomach are soooo itty bitty that some Paw item poses are like...20 pixels. It boggles my mind why anyone would INSIST on the opportunity to spend real cash on pixels. I always wonder why some Paw users aren't asking for more gold shop updates, like for instance, a Paw-centered gold shop, or Paw-centered Denrir Cri update, or a Loyal's Paw-only RIG. (I would love all of these, actually.)

TL;DR - I'm all for suggesting / asking for certain items or recolors to exist, but getting all huffy and butthurt because your/your small group of friend's specific requests weren't honored is absolutely childish.
And hey, that's what Project Tickets are for.
Anyone who participates in that kind of childish behavior is just hurting this entire website's community.

I wish I could tip you more. I have both a paw and human account. Sure there is items for humans I wish was made for paws. You don't seem me going a childish rampage to send people rude anonymous notes. Making paw items is not as easy as humans since their items are a smaller scale. Sadly Gaia is becoming more of a dress up doll game then a community.

Checkmate Academy looks very nice in autumn(autumnal?), but... again, why are we getting this out of season?

I used to think this way and then White Hind of avalon came out and it was only in off white forever. When I finally had a pure White I found very little use in it. I already liked off-white waaay more lol. So now it's the opposite I find off-white more finished than regular white and pulls items together a little nicer. Too me pure white now looks like an unused coloring book (I just want to color it in). =)

While I would appreciate more paw releases - I am honestly ok now with the amount of things we get. It isn't hard to keep up.

Would it be nice to get regular releases just like human bases, yeah. It would. But it would also cost a lot more to keep up. I just don't feel the need to spend money on human items anymore.

But it's not really fair to phase out the base all together. :c

Well, in my case it's the character. She doesn't do off-white because it doesn't fit her lunar/wintery theme. The cold look of pure white is just more fitting. And off-white paired with pure white or light blues tends to look... well, dirty to me, in comparison. That doesn't mean I have any problem with seeing what other people do with it, of course! ^_^

I've always liked the BG in the paw item... but I do wish the kept the red accents to it, rather than making those offblack. Makes it less appealing to me personally, even though I'd likely only use the bg in it.
