Ara heard someone calling her by name and recognized Dankin from a few occasions. Or, was it Donuts? Fridays had always drawn a crowd and it was difficult to remember faces sometimes, especially when they changed so frequently. Dankin, she presumed, invited her to take a seat.
'Easier said than done,' she thought, looking doubtfully at the counter, mostly obscured by a giant snake and a pair of large fae wings. Had her shark tail even made it through the door, let alone onto a chair? The snake had managed somehow so, that was reassuring, she thought. She hoped
her entrance had not been too awkward. A lively duo of blue dragons swung in through the flaming door behind, ushering her further in.
"No, thank you, I'm not..." Ara called back, before realizing there was little chance of being heard over the singing. Relinquishing her true form, she searched for a small table, out of the way.
It had been enlightening to see all her friends take their Final Boss forms a few weeks ago and, despite being nervous, the feedback Ara had received was encouraging enough that she had remained in hers for some time. She could not recall what Dankin's boss form had been, if indeed he had been there at all. There were no true humans on Gaia but, that never stopped her or anyone else from adopting the semblance when it was convenient. Like now.
Ara sat down and hoped there would be a lull in the noise before too long so that she might say her thanks and leave. After all, there was still work to do...
