Welcome to Gaia! ::

Fluffy Bunny

Dankin

Amid the buzz and hustle and bustle of the now growing patronage of the café, one may be remiss to notice the flicker of light traveling slowly along the sidewalk just outside the welcoming windows to "Dankin's Café. This must be the place.".

Standing just outside the door was Lazuli, a smallish creature one might compare to a cross between a fluffy bunny and a dragon. Beside him was his adventure companion and long time friend Rasisolf; just a dragon, no taller than Lazuli, who's scales shimmered a brilliant sapphire radiance.

"Up, up!" Lazuli calling to his companion for a hoist. It was a big world for the two of them, but together, they were unstoppable! Not even troublesome door handles could keep them from their adventures! There was just the one thing Lazuli and Rasisolf both tend to forget; they both shared a blue flame, cold to the touch, that danced across their bodies. Many a bucket of water had been splashed on them before. And so, a growing flame skittered up the door as Rasisolf hoisted Lazuli to the handle. Reaching up with his mechanical arm, he takes hold and gives it a solid twist. The portal opens. The blue duo enters.

Dankin

Ara heard someone calling her by name and recognized Dankin from a few occasions. Or, was it Donuts? Fridays had always drawn a crowd and it was difficult to remember faces sometimes, especially when they changed so frequently. Dankin, she presumed, invited her to take a seat.

'Easier said than done,' she thought, looking doubtfully at the counter, mostly obscured by a giant snake and a pair of large fae wings. Had her shark tail even made it through the door, let alone onto a chair? The snake had managed somehow so, that was reassuring, she thought. She hoped her entrance had not been too awkward. A lively duo of blue dragons swung in through the flaming door behind, ushering her further in.

"No, thank you, I'm not..." Ara called back, before realizing there was little chance of being heard over the singing. Relinquishing her true form, she searched for a small table, out of the way.

It had been enlightening to see all her friends take their Final Boss forms a few weeks ago and, despite being nervous, the feedback Ara had received was encouraging enough that she had remained in hers for some time. She could not recall what Dankin's boss form had been, if indeed he had been there at all. There were no true humans on Gaia but, that never stopped her or anyone else from adopting the semblance when it was convenient. Like now.

Ara sat down and hoped there would be a lull in the noise before too long so that she might say her thanks and leave. After all, there was still work to do...
Slick Southpaw

As Dankin heard the mighty fawn sing his song, he could feel his fears of their stature and demeanor fade away.

"Ahhh, that was a nice ditty.", Dankin thought to himself, "Reminds me of back home in Gaireland...."

Yes, Slick's song stirred up nostalgic thoughts of home within the struggling mercenary.
He gave a brief round of applause in the direction of Slick, Jor and Xwtek before turning back to his other customers.

Arashisora

Mana made his way over to the somewhat uncomfortable looking Ara.

User Image "Hi there, koala!", Mana said, "Welcome to Dankin's Café, how can I help you today, koala?"

Mana also recognised this new guest as he had followed Dankin on several ocassions to the Friday get-togethers at the Barton Town fountain.

Lazuli_Lapin

As Mana began his interaction with Ara, he noticed two more customers enter.
A short lapine fellow accompanied by a small dragon of blue flame.

User Image "Hiya!", Mana squeeked looking at the two, "Welcome to Dankin's Café, be with you in a moment, koala!"

A soft jingle from the front door chimes out to let the occupants know that a new visitor has entered the establishment.

A blonde woman steps inside carrying a sniffly Decembun wrapped in their celestial cape.

All of the attention seemed to be on a large fawn, playing a ?battleaxe? as a muscial instrument? She stepped inside without much fuss, not really paying attention to the bard as she had only entered at the end of their song.

The angelic Gaian went towards the cash register, not waiting to be seated and looking straight for the menu- "Excuse me, do you have anything for Kin?"

Her blue eyes looked up from her own kin to notice that the server was a Kin themselves! What luck! They would surely have something for her little Decembun.

Dankin

((Thank you for the invite Dankin! Or should I say, Danke Dankin.))
KnightKaramatsu

As Dankin was serving another customer he caught a glance of an angelic beauty entering the establishment.
Not just angelic in the visual sense, but a heavenly energy seemed to radiate from her.
Gaia was a place no stranger to Angels and Demons, but Dankin still marvelled in his new customer's radiance.

In her arms was a kindred Decembun, cute as a button and swaddled in their owner's celestial cape.
Dankin almost fawned over the adorable rabbit as much as he wondered in the blonde woman carrying it.

"Excuse me, do you have anything for Kin?" , asked the angelic blonde as she appraoched the front counter and scanned for a menu.

"Oh! Uh, sure we have something.", Dankin said, "We bake a special "Sprinkle Ring Donut" that's suitable for most critter's tummys."

(( No problem! Much danke for visiting. It's nice to RP with you! 3nodding ))

Dankin

"That sounds great, can I get two of those? One in chocoloate and one in strawberry?"

She was interrupted by the tapping of her Kin, it's front paw bapping at a picture of a hot cholate with marshmallows shown on the menu in front of her.

"Oh, and a hot chocolate with marshmallows please. And something for your Koala too." The Decembun seemed to perk up after hearing this, it's little nose twitching as it sniffled.

The blonde grabbed some platinum coins from a satchel hidden by the shiny blue sash around her midriff and placed them on the counter. It should be able to cover the costs plus a tip.

She looked around for a table to sit at that wasn't too close to the faun and their large boa. She wouldn't want the boa to have a snack out of her sweet Kin and Decembun was already having a rough day. The Decembun seemed to read her mind and cower into it's owner's cloak, covering it's head and burrying itself face first in cleavage.

She took a seat away from the musican and tried to sooth the squeeky whimpering bundle.

Xwtek
(loool this is hilarious cos Slick is 208cm tall)

Slick let the sweet notes drift away, pleased that his song had calmed Xwtek down enough to avoid a potential brawl. "Dere, yeh see, nuffin ta worreh about."

Dankin

He was surprised, however, at Dankin's applause. The human had seemed rather intimidated by the pair, he was worried that the cafe owner would have called on the Barton Guard to usher them out, especially with Jor's antics. Slick grinned and waved back at Dankin.

"Tank yeh, tank yeh, Ah'm glad yeh loiked it too!"

Slick continued to watch the interesting ladies come in with curiosity while sipping his coffee, having set his enormous ax guitar down for a second on the table. He noticed the angelic like being rather timid with her adorable companion nuzzled on her chest, making a point to sit further away from him and Jor and the short strange fellow.

KnightKaramatsu

Jor, having finished his pastries, realized Slick wasn't paying attention to him and rather, some of the other guests that had arrived. He huffed irritably and looked at the direction that Slick was trying not to stare in.

"Dash it all me boyo, there just ain't a flippin thing you can say to convince her I won't jolly well scoff her kin thing, doncha know." He said loudly, causing Slick to whip around his head and give him a death glare before looking back at the angelic lady apologetically.

"He don't mean dat, marm,"

Jor merely cackled and took a bite out of Xwtek's unattended donut when he wasn't looking.

"Hi there, koala!", Mana said, "Welcome to Dankin's Café, how can I help you today, koala?"

Ara tilted her head slightly and smiled at the koala-kin.

"No need to worry about me, Koala, " she replied, playfully. She'd worked a few holidays over at the HBC and was not unfamiliar with nor unsympathetic to the challenges of a place like this. "I'm just here to say thanks for the..."

Her Gaia mobile began buzzing and she spared it a quick glance. Right, cohorts and coffee, she remembered. She sensed the koala-kin was keen to take the others' orders.

"Sorry, Mana. How much coffee can you prep to-go?"
Arashisora

Mana liked this customer. She had just humored him by using his "koala" exclamation herself. Mana was flattered and beamed with glee.

"How much coffee can you prep to-go?", she hurriedly asked.

User Image "Oh, koala!", Mana said glancing back to see Dankin dealing with another customer,
"I can put your coffee in a four-cup carry tray easy-peasy if you like, koala!"

KnightKaramatsu

Dankin was taken aback by his angelic customer's act of generosity.
What bowled him over more was the further display of adorable behavior from her kindred Decembun, which indicated excitedly for a hot chocolate drink.
Dankin's love of cute creatures was not something he boasted about, so he tried his best to conceal his delight.

"You're too kind", Dankin said to his charming blonde customer, "One strawberry sprinkle, one chocolate sprinkle and a hot chocolate with marshmallows for our cute new customers!" biggrin

Dankin graciously accepted the payment plus his generous tip and deposited it in his cash register with a mighty Ka-Ching.

"I'll have that order over for you in a jiffy!", Dankin called as his new guest looked for somewhere to sit.

"I can put your coffee in a four-cup carry tray easy-peasy if you like, koala!"

Ara pressed her lips together, nervously. "Actually, Koala, I was thinking something more like..." She gestured to indicate a Mana-sized box with her hands.

"Separate cups won't be necessary for where I'm heading..."

Slick Southpaw

She trailed off as she again caught sight of the giant snake. Or, more specifically, the markings on the giant snake. How had she not noticed before? The fawn, like other land mammals, could be quickly filed away in the mental box labeled 'late-night snacks' but, any sea monster worth their saltwater would recognize a Son of the Leviathan. A pity there wasn't more time...

Cremuex was certainly surprised that the rather imposing snake creature could talk. Some creatures in Gaia could talk, but not all of them- Mana was a exception among Kindred and this Boa seemed to be an exception among snakes.

Slick Southpaw

"Oh, I'm sorry, I meant no offence. I just... I assumed that because most Boas ate mice and rabbits that Decembun might... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings." Decembun was still hiding in the bundle of fabric. It could probably smell the snake god.

She was confused however about the fauns comment. He doesn't mean that he won't scoff her kin? So he will? She could guess from the context clues that they were trying to not seem threatening and she appreciated that at least. She wouldn't normally be opposed to snakes eating rabbits- after all, animals have to eat, she was just particularly attached to this one.

She watched the snake take a bite out of another customers unattended donut- perhaps these donuts were able to sustain critters without them needing to eat meat?

"I'm Cremuex." she volunteered shyly. She was going to let her kin have the other seat at the table, but it was unlikely that they would come out for anything but food at this point. She would be ok if someone wanted to sit and chat with her, but she didn't want to assume. They were possibly having a conversation with the sharktailed mer or maybe one of the other patrons.

"Great gallopin gophers, wot is wit yeh cute lot in stereotypin, wotwot!" Jor protested at Cremuex's comment, spraying donut crumbs everywhere. "Insufferable lass, thinkin a mighty bloke like me jus' goes 'round and eats fluffery cute things, doncha know. I jolly well scoff quality food, wotwot, not some barbaric uncooked stuff, doncha know!" The snake took a deep breath, ready to lecture the poor shy girl about his eating habits, when Slick shoved the other half of Xwtek's donut in his snapping maw, effectively silencing the serpent, who was mildly choking at the sudden change in development.

Slick sighed heavily as he turned back to Cremuex and replied, "Dinnae worreh bout 'im, miz. Th' name's Slick. Ah know yeh mean no 'arm."
Xwtek

The burly faun turned back to Xwtek to answer his question. "Ach, dere are many ways. Some people go a treasure 'untin, some sell guids, an' iffen yer loike meh, Ah take up bounties n' gigs ta make a lil bit o' platinum."
