A couple concerns:

It is a little unclear in the first post if trades MUST include at least 1 plat ("There is now a minimum of 10m gold when trading" ). I've seen several posts in this thread that say that you can still send trades with 0 gold, but "a minimum of 10m gold" does not include 0, so I dunno.
If there is a 10m gold minimum, I wonder what effect this will have on charities and trading between mule accounts.

While this will make things look a lot cleaner because of fewer zeroes, there will still be people who want to feel like they are getting more when they sell an item, so they will then mark their prices up to millions of plat just to see a bigger number.

"Platinum was created to help deal with inflation..."
"Deal" is kinda vague when used here. As I understand it, this change is just to make things easier to understand, not to actually make any progress in fixing inflation. I can even see a few ways where this would make inflation worse, but I guess you have to start somewhere. Once everyone is using plat, the numbers across the board will indeed be smaller. But I can see other users who have different understandings of the word "deal" so idk.

this seems entirely pointless.

it is supposed to be the same amount of money but the numbers are just different? what the actual heck?

why would i switch? this looks like it is making more problems than it solves if you have to have such an extensive FAQ just to say; "it's still the same value".

Stacked game items sold in multiple typically sell for less than 10,000,000 gold each but their total is much higher. Will the Plantinum conversion rate affect the per item cost as well as the total sale cost?

So all store sell-back prices will still be based on the gold sell-back price? So technically there is such a thing as less than one platinum, we just don't see it until it adds up to a whole platinum?

Something that isn't updated enough to be a good enough gold sink, imo. But it's a start and I like the idea of it.
I think I pretty good fix would be to just add more gold sinks and ways to get older items...

Holy heck, this will sure be a change visually
1b = 100 plat in this new currency system
and 1g undercuts sound like they'll be a thing of the past

As "pointless" as a change some people think this to be
I'm hopefully optimistic, having to type less zeros is always welcome
and I know this is the first step to help combat inflation issues

At least now you're being honest in that it's not going to help inflation but instead, just make the numbers more manageable from a data standpoint

I'm also curious on how MP tax will affect granting to the seller if they're using the plat currency option

The fact that trades have a gold requirement on them now if gold is in the trade is going to cause a lot of disgruntled users to pass blame. Say goodbye to a lot of charity stuff that happens for users for awhile while a third currency system is introduced

why give us a choice they never have before not when VJs ,Zomg all went down all they gave us was a lame excuse to why we must except the change ..i know isnt the same but still if they are going change it up n confuse us just do it and get it over with so we all can move on and not feel so cheated
