Fetus = acorn. Woman = 4000 year old oak tree. Which are you choosing?

Seedlings, can be moved after germination dearest.

I hate to break it to you, but most seedlings don't turn into a 4000-year-old oak tree. So you think it IS okay to kill a tree and plant a seedling in its place, and that the two are equivalent?

What is the word to describe two beings in a symbiotic realationship?
I'm not making fun it honestly escapes me.

Mutually beneficial, but in that case the symbiot has to provide something that somehow aids the host, which a fetus does not. Symbiot suggests something in this relationship with a host body.

I suppose in a sence you are correct since the value of parenthood has dropped like a brick. Mind that if you accept the thought of a fetus being a parasite, you were a parasite once too.

Fine. How about a sapling, then, since no one would try and move that?

Just think. Would you like to see the woman get on with her life, or ruin TWO lives by forcing her to keep the child?

You missunderstand.
I think choose to move the seedling and keep the tree. In the case of this analogy. If it were my child, even at the age I am I would give it my best shot to keep it. But mind you at my age I wouldn't put myself in the position to even create a possibility for said child.

I respect your desicion.^_^
Many pro-lifers change their mind if they get into a bad situation.

Sex isn't magical, or human. It's purely animal. It's probably one of the most animal things a person can DO. Admittedly, you can do it with love, but it's still animal. I don't see the point behind abstinence. o_O

Okay, let's say a hundred year old tree. It's too big to move, right, but you've got to either cut it or this 4000 year old tree down. Which would you choose?

And when you invent a way to remove the fetus from my uterus and transfer it somwehre else without it being more stresful to me then an abortion and when you can find the money to house all these fetus in theoretical artificial wombs or the willing recipitenet for them all we'll talk.

Self respect. Higher thought. Refusal to look at yourself as an animal. If I wanted to surrender to pure instinctual drives I would have killed half the lived in the forest feasting on raw venison. Not that I'm abstinant for life mind you. Only until I feel the need to continue my bloodline.

I answered an analogy, with an analogy. Do not attack me because I can't answer unspecific questions with perfectly specific answers. It's unbecoming.

Actually, an interesting bit about the SRY gene.

So, during fetal development, there is a careful balance between the mother and the fetus, both of which require nutrients. Female fetuses - since they will one day become mothers, and do not want to have demanding fetuses of their own - only take a small amount of nutrients from the mother, and maintain equilibrium. Male fetuses, however, have no such complications, and take as much as they possibly can to become stronger than the females.

The result is that carrying a male child weakens the mother. This is supported by statistic evidence in which mothers who bear many male children tend to die earlier than mothers who bear many female children, and rates of death during childbirth are much higher when the child is male.

So the pretty picture of the beautiful union in which an adoring mother creates a child within her really is inaccurate. In reality, it's a bitter and ugly war, and two third of the time the mother's body wins, killing the fetus and leading to miscarriage.

If speaking porportionatly, and the 40 year old woman is raising a ten year old child I would have to say it's a bit too late to justify exterminating it. As a matter of fact, I'd say it's about time the woman got over herself and raise what she brought into this world. Selfishness, afterall, is a miserably incompassionate shame.
