i'm not forcing them to BE pregnant, i'm forcing them to STAY pregnant.

Like you have any personal say in what another woman does with her own body. Which you don't.

Quote:
the chose to become pregnant- no, not directly, they didn't fuse sperm with egg. they did, however, allow the sperm into their bodies, and the p***s into their v****a.

They consented to having sex. They did not consent to becoming pregnant, nor did they consent to remaining so.

no, i have no say...not yet. however, laws change, and will change. they will have to, within the century... with the advances in technology, embrios will eventually be able to be grown outside of the mother, with no biological assistance, thus making them viable. all human embrios will be viable, and thus protected by unborn child acts.

With that technology we won't need abortions. We can just remove the embryo and let it go wherever it wants.

I'd welcome that technology with open arms.

well, to answer the "taking bothe of them" argument- well, the fetus would die anyway, due to the mother's attacks. she deserves it, honestly.
No one deserves death.
What if she was one of the mothers who is postponing childbirth? Isn't that just killing off even more potential lives?

no, perhaps she does not deserve death... well, i don't care if she dies or not. she made her choices in life- she would choose to risk death. more of a choice than her child gets. and no, it is not destroying potential lives- just as menstrating is not killing

and human population hit 19 trillion and we're all fighting for food and resources, and not to mention the amount of space we'll take up....Earth would be one huge city, the moon a suburb, Mars..... We'd multiply like bunnies on viagra.

exactly. as long as the fetus lives, i don't care. it's not to make the woman suffer, it's to give the child life. if there is ever a way to remove and save the embryo, then i hope it comes soon- it will be better for both women and children... however, if the embryo cannot be removed, only created in an artificial womb, it will still make all embryos viable, thus illegalizing abortion

yes, and that will be our problem. but we cannot kill the innocent to protect the corrupt.

thus illegalizing abortion
False. It would render abortion obsolete. Not illegal.

But I still don't see how it makes any sense for someone pro-life to actually kill a pregnant woman... If life is so sacred, why take away even more of them just because a potential one was doomed to die anyway?

not if the embryo could not be transferred- it would make abortion illegal due to this loophole. not the epiphany i'm hoping for, but it will work.

i would not kill her...she would kill herself. that's th e idea- that women might die in trying to abort for themselves. it would be their own lives they risk. i'm definately not for some sort of hollocaust, that would indded be hypocritical. but if a woman is willing to risk death to kill her child, i say, let her die.

Unless you are planning on following every woman who even contemplates getting an abortion and try to brow-beat them into seeing things your way, you will never have a say in the matter.

however, laws change, and will change.

Only if the law is considered unconstitutional. Which of late, it hasn't been.

But that is not the case right now. You are wanting to change things in the present for something that is about as possible as a transporter device, like from Star Trek. It might be possible one day, but it's not here yet.

No, it would still only be an obsolete procedure. Unless there was law passed granting an embryo the physical rights of a recognized citizen, of any country.
The artificial womb-type would be an alternative to abortion.
You need to take into consideration the efficiency and cost of such procedures. Abortion would still be far cheaper, than these embryonic farmhouses.

It wouldn't be made illegal, until other law granted an embryo/early fetus the rights of personhood. That, in of itself, is the core reason for the continuation of these debates. Not that there aren't any alternatives.

As such, I haven't garnered much from you. As it has been established that you care nothing, for anyone, really, from the way you view these situations. I am less concerned with your opinion, since it lacks any compassion for mother or would-be child, and more with how damaging legislation, granting such things, would be.

But, again, it would only be a new procedure. Nothing about legalities. That's a wholly different part.

Eh. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one. I support the sentient to keep living, regardless of their actions. I don't think I support the death penalty either, by that logic...

What about abortion clinic bombers? She's not exactly putting herself at risk of dying by that; it's more along the lines of some hypocritical idiots thought they'd kill a few more people just because some potential ones were staying unborn.

yes, and until that day comes, i will fight abortion.

honestly, i've thought about destroying a clinic- i would never hurt anyone, just maybe break in and destroy the equipment.
