Dreadful Words!: A Contest to Celebrate, uhhh, Bad Poetry!?!

It has been brought to my attention that August 18th was, in fact, Bad Poetry Day. How could we miss this?!? Bad poetry is such an amazing thing - it can be so soul-crushingly awful that it makes us laugh and smile. Admit it - you've at some point or another read a poem so atrocious, so maudlin, that it not only made you eye roll, but possibly burst out laughing at its sheer terribleness!

Given that hilarity often ensures after reading bad poetry, I thought it would be nice to have a contest to celebrate all those unwitting (or possibly witting?) bad poets by creating your OWN bad poetry. If your hideous poem is selected as, well, one of the worst, you'll score a fabulous Dreadful Words Prize Pack full of things to help ease the pain of being a terrible poet...

Sounds terrible but fun - how do I enter?!?
Entering this contest is easy - you just have to post in this thread with an original BAD poem that you have written. You can use any form or style of poetry that best captures the essence of your terrible poetry and its themes! All entries need to be posted using the following format to help identify them as entries:

How many times can I enter this contest?
You may enter this contest as many times as you want - feel free to enter all day and night if you so desire, as long as the entries are posted during the duration of the contest. No late entries will be considered for prizes.

How long does this contest run?
This contest starts on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017 and ends at 11:59pm PDT on Tuesday, August 29th, 2017. All times are in Pacific Time, so make sure to keep that in mind when entering.

Is there a specific theme we should work with?
No, you can pick any theme you like. Love, death, trees, ice cream, romance, heartbreak, frogs - poetry can be on any subject! The poem just has to be bad. We realize that bad is subjective, but we are not aiming for you to create something you really love here. We want you to craft a masterpiece that SOUNDS like it SHOULD be great but really, it's terrible! I think we've ALL written something like that at some point...*ahem*

Is there anything I can't or shouldn't depict in my entry?
While we don't like to quash artistic freedom of expression, keep in mind this is Gaia so the following rules apply:
* Keep your entries Gaia-appropriate - no sexually explicit content, no graphic violence, nothing that violates the Terms of Service, etc.
* All entries must also be your own original, terrible poem!
