Welcome to the Barton Garrison!

We are a clan that takes pride in being Barton Regulars, but anyone may join regardless of whether they've reached Regular status or not.

We are fairly organized, and a simple and casual zOMG clan. We have different classes and ranks, but the classes are mere guidelines to help players flesh out a crew in their particular style, and the ranks are a fun chain of command to which players can aspire to.

We go on regular jaunts around Gaia (in zOMG) to complete quests and create items from recipes and trade rings. We are also have a roleplay subforum which will take off soon. Please visit us and check us out. =]

Welcome to the Barton Town Garrison

We are a small (but hoping to grow) zOMG clan of Barton Regulars based on the enforcing of Gaian Law, and protection of its citizens. Namely the citizens of Barton Town, our home. We patrol and keep Barton town safe from unruly miscreants and monsters. Together we might take out a task force to hunt down boss monsters and complete quests for the glory of our contingent; as well as create allies and enemies out of other clans and engage in Clan battles.

The history of Leon and the Barton Regulars spans far back in time to founding of Barton Town and the birth of the world of Gaia.

Their achievements and adventures have been many, such as the incident of the ornery hog from the bog which rampaged the streets back in the year 2000.

While most of our guards focus on close-range attacks and sword combat, we accept and welcome those who fight with ranged weapons, magic, or wish to work in a supportive role.

Anyone can enlist in the Barton Town Garrison regardless of whether you are Barton Regular or not. However you can only achieve promotion to an Officer Status if you have completed the Barton Regular quest, and that means special privileges like being able to be a Crew leader of an officially sanctioned crew, and other things.

Clan Classes

Our clan has certain types of classes into which anyone can be classified based on their specialty combat style.

Crusader - The typical melee fighter. Focuses on close range powerful attacks, and builds up stamina and power.

Artillery Knight - A long ranged fighter using weapons from guns, to arrows, to shuriken. Attacks from afar.

Dark Knight - Attacks using magical rings and spells. Offensive sorcery-wielding fighter that is usually long ranged and does a lot of damage over time.

Knight-Chaplain - A supportive member. Heals others on the team and provides helpful status effects or buffs to enhance the teams fighting capability.

Knight-Dilettante - A member who does not specialize in anything, and dabbles in all types of combat. Does not tend to be useful in a team, but are good solo-ers.

Note: Even though there is a Commander rank, the only one who can be Commander is Leon. One can only attain it if Leon dies, or resigns, or promotes someone up, and seeing how he is an NPC, I don't see how that it is at all likely. So the highest commands will come from Lieutenant Commanders.

The commander of the Barton Town Regulars, Leon leads the defense of Barton Town and its outlying suburbs. He has a large contingent of guards (That's us!) that operate in Town and the surrounding countryside. Leon is a friendly, good-natured, bear of a man who treats his mother well and is loyal to his friends.

Crews

From the full list of officers and enlisted knights, members will be partitioned into specific Crews under a chain of command. Each company may have a different task, or two or more companies may work together to accomplish a single task. Crews may form, dissolve, and reform with varying sizes to accomplish varying goals. Most likely however, your crew will stay with your for a long time and be like your family. All tasks you need to complete can be done together with them. We'll try to keep Crews together, or rearrange them if members are having problems.

The Code

Commands of higher ranking officers and soldiers are to be obeyed.
We do not spam, we do not cyber, we do not break Gaian Law in anyway, or else we are not fit to be knights of the Barton Garrison.
Our duty is to uphold and enforce the law. This may include reporting members engaging in cybering, trolling, etc.
In addition to that, it is also our duty to serve good law-abiding Barton citizens in any way that we can. Good deeds will be logged and not go unrewarded.
Failure to uphold the Code may result in dishonorable discharge from the company.
