And that's alright. In a sense, it isn't and that's ok. But the people I've made friends with along with a solid chunk of the conversations/information I have and share with people make it a worthwhile site to revisit/partake of to the point I feel the need to do so on a semi continuous basis.

However, in terms of supporting it.....eh. That ship has sailed.

Yeah, man.
Back when this place was a burgeoning hub of ideas and activity (02-10) and you felt as if your money went towards maintining and bettering a place that was very popular for a reason, I had no problem supporting, if not just to gain exclusive items to a place I enjoyed.

Now after realizing so many things about this place, especially in terms of upper management and how they've squandered funds given and not really done much if anything in terms of making this place better...then yeah, it's like we're funding someone's slush fund at this point as opposed to paying in to make this place better.

But we'll be here as long as it's free. If they finally decide to cash out and sell it to a corp who'll charge a fee, I guarantee you only the hardcore will stick about.

That may be true in reality, but that's not the reality for everyone sadly. Private servers like p99 which has a very competitive and toxic community around end game equipment is a perfect example of that. It's a 24 year old game that people still maliciously fight over pixels.

A person's emotions aren't any less real when typing as they are crying 2 inches from your face. People who pretend to not understand how that could be true have to either be cracked in the head and think this is a coded videogame and not a forum

or they know but but are lying to themselves and projecting that lie outwards and trying to gaslight everyone else
