A growing mass of flesh and machine melded together, salvaging what parts it could. Lani watched in horror as it began to take shape once again, slowly backing deeper into the hallway that lead to the 'artifact' room. Perhaps it was a stroke of luck that Pride's energies held Lani tightly, a purple haze lingering around her body as it faded from this reality. Heart still jumping in her throat, Lani was on edge as she materialized in front of Pride.
"You called?" she said breathlessly, a look of surprise shaping her delicate features. Well, that certainly looked nothing like Pride, but his aura was as deep purple as ever. Brows folding, Lani pursed her lips.
"You look like you could be my father," she breathed, blinking a few times in rapid succession as she took him in. Was that silver she saw? Pride? With silver hair? Somehow it was very fitting. Very mature. Not that she'd say it out loud.
"Where have you been? Don't tell me my father tried to walk out on me," she joked, her right hand reaching for his upper arm to feel him.. make sure he was real. Honestly, Pride could ask her the same question. She'd been elsewhere as well. For all intents and purposes, things seems to have calmed down in Valaura. Lani wondered briefly where Seth was.
