I already told you gat dang it, possessing firearms is the best way to enforce pacifism. People are less likely to be bold and/or motivated about breaking into your house, stealing your car or starting a fight with you if they think or know that you have a gun.

Just because I like guns and want to own them doesn't mean that I'm interested in using them to kill or hurt people. I appreciate them because they're spectacular pieces of machinery and using them recreationally (shooting at inanimate objects, mind you) is a wonderful medium of stress-relief. They also allow you to defend yourself and your loved ones in situations when it's absolutely dire.

I'm going to stop talking about this however, since this topic can and usually will dip into a political discussion, and we don't want that.
