I never realized people were so bad at math that they can't remove 7 numbers from the equation. I'm glad you posted this to help all those poor uneducated people but at the same time, I'm sad that people are so uneducated that this needed to be posted in the first place. My faith in humanity continues to dwindle.

I really tried to ignore this, because I am one of those "poor uneducated people" that is not only a visual thinker but bad at math too. (I won't deny that I suck at math, especially conversions) It's not that people are uneducated, it's that our minds don't work in the same way that yours does. Just because my brain is wired differently than yours does not make me (or anyone else for that matter) a "poor uneducated [person]".

This chart for me was extremely helpful as, like I mentioned, I suck at math. I can assure you however, I am educated and well off.

Exactly! I graduated top 30 in my high school class of around 400 kids and I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Art, history, and language have always been my strongest subjects. Math, on the other hand, has always eluded me. My brother stole all the math genes from my mom and left me with none... confused

she really, REALLY likes to look down on people.

lots of times when i come onto zOMG and i'm on the layer she's on, she insults my choice of carrying sweetheart ring for DMS. fecking annoying. almost everyone loves my crews, i don't care what she thinks. a few of my tanks have gone veggie (not carrying meat) cause i carry sweetheart.

Simple mistakes can happen with converting in the mind. While some may recheck their steps, others can get confused and make a single digit error which can cause them to massively misprice an item or overestimate the price of something.

A chart is just a helpful reminder of how much something is at a certain level. While a limited level of mathematical skill is still required to "calculate" the actual price a user is looking for, by using this chart they can notice if it's a digit off.

By using a chart you are just playing it safe instead of dangerous. So one can say using a chart is the smart thing to do.

it's also an off amount (7), you can't just cut off at the commas like you could if the conversion was 3, 6, or 9. domokun stargate

it's not that hard to understand, and in reality we can't be calling people stupid or ignorant for using the chart PkRs provided, it is more of an aid to assist and help prevent screw-ups. Honestly even the admins said the new currency was to take off some of the zeros, so should not be that hard to figure out. Still I will stick with gold for now, they need time to get the stores and marketplace straightened out dealing with the Platinum currency.
