I was making a bit of a point that you might have missed. There are some users who really don't have the money for it because they have to spend it on certain things because of the crap American economy. They are in America, and yeah there company is crap, but they really shouldn't be asking money for little trinkets that are ten times better than what is released elsewhere.

So, you lack money because the American economy is horrible. Don't you think Gaia, a company based in America, is hurting for money as well?

As far as what I bolded, if the quality of the trinkets are ten times better than what's being released elsewhere, why shouldn't they charge money?

And not to continue to sound like a lame nit-pick, but i do believe I stated that I didn't report because of the TIME it takes. With the time, you may as well not have, especially with the lacking changes that seem to be made when they are caught. I actually have begun reporting again, but that doesn't help. Sure I restrain from minor things like people teasing you in forums, but when someone is outright going against someones existence in the case of the suicides, I will. (Don't seem to find many recently though.)

I don't understand what you're saying. You're complaining about the time it takes to actually do the report? You say you're reporting but it's not helping but how do you know? You just stated that you didn't know you could use the tracking numbers to check on the report, so you clearly haven't been checking on it. So how are you gathering evidence that nothing is being done to punish those doing something wrong?

I completely agree. Especially when it comes to the issue of the CS items and such. A few years ago I donated my allowance every month to be able to get a MC for that month, and I was happy to do so because I wanted to help fund the site. Now it's got to the point that even if I had the money, and wasn't saving for university next year, I would't pay anyway. Everything is so expensive, and even to get enough gold to buy the items is impossible. I'd like, for once, to be able to actually buy an CS item, an EI, from the marketplace for a reasonable cost. I don't even own one of the damn things. Have you any idea how long it takes for users like me who can't sell art, or post contantly, to make 100k?

And don't get me started on the Aquariums. I refuse to use them.

I totally agree with this, Gaia makes enough money they don't need to bleed us dry! I've spent over a hundred bucks on this site in the time I've been here just to be able to get a few things I really wanted. There is no way the average user could ever afford the stuff in the marketplace that has been bought from the cash shop. And seriously a 2% tax? What is that? Thats a load of crap. Not to mention there is bugs/glitches in almost EVERY SINGLE FEATURE on the site. And fishing was such a let down . . . I loved it at first, but all the bugs that came into it it plus the lack of updates really made me upset. Not to mention the bogus aquarium thing, I mean my overseer hasn't even given me an item in over four days! Gaia you need to make things more affordable, you need to focus on features EVERYONE can enjoy, and you need to care about your loyal user base!

My personal suggestions are to go ahead and offer things for cash but make them more affordable! Make it easier for us poor users to get nice items and more gold, I mean seriously gold is very scarce around here. Maybe you could make multi-step quests with strict requirements that increase the rewards you get with every level, that seems to work on other sites and it would make it so that dedicated users could make lots of gold and feel like they are more a part of Gaia. Find some way to influence the market so everything will be more affordable! PLEASE! I mean not only is the real economy going under but the Gaia economy has gone mad as well! But you know what? The Gaia economy functions on imaginary constructs so it should be VERY EASY FOR YOU TO FIX! I mean I'm sure it doesn't cost you guys to much to grant us imaginary gold or make items constructed of pixels. I'm not saying they aren't worth something but they aren't worth ten bucks. I mean seriously whats next? Charging per pixel? I personally think that running on multi-level story related quests would fix a lot of these problems as well as immerse as in the world of Gaia, more constructible items is also a very good idea at least that way we could get items through hard work and dedication instead of shelling out every cent we got, there are a myriad of things you could do to make things more affordable and spread gold around Gaia without losing any of your 'precious' money.

Also I think towns and fishing/aquariums needs a MASSIVE overhaul. Personally I'd be happy with just a simple fishing update, maybe a new place to fish but you definitely have to make more fish, and all fish should be able to be placed in aquariums! I personally think all fish should be catchable in fishing as well and that you should only charge cash for special items for your aquarium. I also think it be nice if the overseer granted things like the angelic rod and other rare fishing items to encourage users to fish. But that just me and I know these are all pretty selfish request, but I also know you could make way more money off of sponsors then you can off of us so why not make it more affordable for your users?

I think the whole phone numbers thing is rubbish too. Email alerts fine, but phone numbers? That's a little extreme. Like "OMFG DON'T FORGET ABOUT GAIA NOW!" I know loads of people spend many an hour on here, but that's just invasive. I'm waiting for the whole "Let's just swap phone numbers instead of going through gaia" and then the "what's your address?" coming into play.

Can you imagine that? Getting an automated letter sent to your house every time someone replied to you? I wonder if they'll ever bring that out xD

And as another English Gaian the inability to get GCash annoys me, and their lack of coming to UK (and other oversea's) Cons, sure they're now going to come to London, but how am I meant to get there, I can't drive yet. </MiniRant>

What can I say, I have to agree on this thread.
Living on the 'wrong' side of the planet and without a paypal - I think I'm safe from spending ANY money on this site. It's been my goal from the very beginning (soon two years ago) to never spend a single coin on any pixels.

Exactly. I use my journal almost more than I use the forums, and the whole system needs a tweak, to bring it in tune with the rest of the site. I wish that the staff would bother making sure everything we had before works properly, rather than adding rubbish add-ons which really aren't necessary.

As far as Battle (I hate the actual name) is concerned, I'm one of the people helping to test it, as such. They are trying to stop elitism from beta testers (everyone else calls themselves a very silly name, but I can't be bothered with that) and they won't be allowed onto the game early, unlike those with the tickets. If you want that chance, you have to pay up. ******** rude, if you ask me.

That kinda bums too. I know that they're based in the states, and so they can't really afford to make big trips out to here. My point would have to be though that if you can't make the feature available to every user, then don't do it. The world is larger then the US and I'm sure as hell we foreigners make up a large percentage of the overall gaia population.

i will say tho that the cash shop thing is not a big deal. i mean, they do need some money at least and it is not a total rip off. and its fine with me to just save up gold and buy it in the marketplace. other than that, yeah gaia has been doing some irritating things.
