That's true, there have been many species of human being alive on the Earth over the course of history. I think people tend to forget that. Creationists believe that all the other forms of man cohabited around six thousand years ago, though presumeably they killed eachother off such that only homo sapiens still survive today.

And they base this theory on; absolutely nothing!

I was thinking about Kent Hovind today. Man, there's a dude who SUCKS a**.
I didn't know there were people that still didn't believe in Evolution. If you want proof, read Darwin's "The Origin of Species."

Not what i really wanted to say. I was speaking specifically of humanity. Truth is I never could believe evolution. I just never made any sense to me.
Yes, I'm sure that goes a long way towards making things false.

Well, it seems to work for the atheists.

Be that as it may, everything in our genes can be found in either our mothers or fathers genes as well. nothing new is added
Cite for this? Preferably from a reliable study.

Granted I don't have the study, but do you have the study that says otherwise? where is the evidence for evolution? If it is indeed science then let science prove it.

Darwin wasn't a scientist. His theories were originally rejected by scientists. Biologists to be specific. Besides, the book is theory not proof.
As were Galileo and Copernicus' theories. Copernicus was killed because of them, and Galileo was forced into hiding his. Regardless of whether he was a scientist or not, he is the father of Evolution. WHile it's true the book is theory, he backs his theory with proof on many occasions.

Last I knew, Pagan meant possessing no religion.....is that just another definition or what?

Actually pagan refers polytheistic religion. In paganism there are Gods and Godesses. Also, they tend to allow that other gods exist besides the god(s) that you worship.

Allah. Oh sure, maybe he's the same as the Judaic God. Maybe all gods are one. But then you'd have to explain why the same God condones Christian fundementalists insisting that all other religions are wrong, and Muslim fundementalists doing the same thing.
Humans are flawed, and fundamentalists are flawed in creative ways?

A flaw is a deviation from the ideal. All things in the world are flawed versions of everything but themselves; everything is perfect as it is. Any argument from perfection is, thus, flawed, as the words mean the same thing from different perspectives.

There is no such thing as a flawed idea; knowledge is absolute and all contention comes from lack of knowledge, hence, lack of an idea.

Umm... could anyone else make sense of that? If so please PM me and explain.

Yes. Links that lead to biased statements from scientists ( and please don't get to mad when I say that, I'm sure you've said that same thing against Christians ).
I'm guessing that no one here has ever taken Anthropology yet. neutral

A) I have said the same thing sometimes, about ANTI-EVOLUTION CREATIONISTS, usually after their bias is already laid bare. Many Christians, even many scientists who are Christian, accept the observed, documented, known fact of evolution and, because of seeing this fact, accept the current Theory of Evolution to explain the fact of evolution. Because Evolution is a Fact and Theory. A Fact and Theory. A Fact and Theory.
B) I will get mad if you try ad hominem fallacies and expect to get away with it. Really, accusing the 95% of scientists who accept Evolution of being biased is a baseless, paranoid assertion which you will have a hard time proving. That said, prove it. Now.
C) I have taken Anthropology. What of it?
D) I am a Christian. That does not mean I get to ignore observable reality.

So let's review: You assumed that it's Christianity vs. Evolution. This is a False Dilemma. You Ad Hominem'd scientists, asserting implicitly that you know better than they do the facts regarding Evolution. You assumed I call Christians (Creationists) biased, in the process implying that I am not Christian. You assumed nobody here has recieved formal education in Anthropology, which is untrue.

Oh, and Langlen said that she DIDN'T have faith in Evolution, she accepted it because of the facts and evidence in its favor. With that sort of backing, you don't need "faith."

Fair notice, I'm getting really sick of people running in here without reading the thread, repeating anti-Evolution sentiments, and never being able to back them up. If you cannot put up a decent argument, you WILL go on report. I expect you to cite sources and expand upon the points you've already made, and counter the points I've just made. Otherwise, feel free to post an apology for wasting our time and bow out. I say "wasting our time" pre-emptively because there is NOTHING you have said which I haven't smashed into the ground this week alone.

You made mention of a "current" evolutoin theory. Is this different from the theory that we evolved from bacteria over the course of millions of years?

I'm amused. Technically, wouldn't YVWH be a pre-christian diety?

Yep.

Well spotted. xp

It's also notable that Christians and Jews actually worship the same God. The only difference is that Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah, and Jews are still waiting for the prophesy to be fulfilled.

Evolution is true to a degree, but humans didn't evolve from monkeys

Nor does evolution make that claim.
eek
You mean popcuture LIED TO ME???
My God sits in the back of the limousines...

Here's how evolution happened:

Non-life goo --> Archaeobacteria --> Eukarya --> Protista --> Animalia --> Ancient Primates --> Humans

Correct me if I'm wrong, any of you biologists out there.

Please point me to proof that this is true. I'm looking for something that says that there is no other way that we could have been formed, not even creation.

Heh. This is what it always boils down to. Obviously, as there could not have possibly been eye witnesses to the creation of life according to evolution, nobody can say for sure that it really happened. But they can provide enough evidence for it to beyond a shadow of a doubt in one side's favor, if you abandon your bias and consider the information. The stance you just presented is one of ignorance; There is an abundance of proof, you simply choose to hide behind the universal scientific law that states that nothing can be proven.
