My God.
When they did nothing about the outbreak of scripting/hacking; I saw more "Im leaving Gaia, Giveaway!" posts in the chaterbox than ever before. This site has probably about over 2,000 glitches. And they're slow on response. I think even the mods don't help Gaia. I've reported to about 20 moderators and NONE of them have replied to help me. They always just let everything go and nothing matters anymore.

I've also noticed the increasing amount of "Leaving Gaia give-a-ways". I find it quite sad to know that all the elders of Gaia are being run out, especially when they are the most fun to talk to seeing as how many new users only want to "hook up" or steal your pixles. e_e

Okay, THREE Kinds of people inhabit Gaia. The Purists (True Gaians), The Otakus (The Anime Lovers) and.... The Dreaded Society Preps and Stereotypes a.k.a the MySpacers (UGH!). Gaia, unfortunately, is being invaded by the people you always see in MySpace. To be honest, the lattermost group is the most dislikable group when it comes to Purists and Otakus. Why, exactly? Well, they always watch MTV, they'd rather be rude and be all, well, you're supposed to be like that and stuff. WELL BIG NEWS FOR YOU! GAIA IS STARTING TO CONCENTRATE ON THE MYSPACERS, AND DRAINING US TO THE BONE FOR THE MYSPACER'S PERSONAL ENJOYMENT! Look Gaia, our economy is dying quick, both online and real life, and your milking us from our well earned money (I miss my 180 bucks dad gaved me before he left on that plane to the homeland T-T; ) and your only making it worse. For once, do us a favor, make it a quick one, and fix the glitches, eliminate the non-centralized on Gaia stuff you've been putting in, and make Cash Items either available in gold or cheaper! If you did that, stocks go through the roof, we get the items we want easier, Gaian economy goes boom, and you help on the dying economy by not draining us as much money on force, but by our willingness! See? Make Gaia much more closer to what it once had with the modern one, go back to the Japanese Entertainment roots, and make everyone who accept Gaia as not "Just another MySpace/Facebook." Viva la Gaia! Revolucion al poder de todos! (Translation: Revolution is in our power!)

I agree with you. Now the crappy MTV crud is setting in Gaia's systems. I mean, yeah, its okay to make an anoucement [w/ trailer included] dedicated to something but creating a world area/store/clothing/etc, is just another way to get the really gossiping/preppy/prissy/slutty/idiotic/wannabe jerks on here. And those people keep bugging the regular gaians who are just going about minding their own then they invade and the whole site is all icky.

I know, right? Those same people jeer at me just because I have Emo in my name. There IS such thing as Emoths for they have a mixture of traits of both emos and goths. But guess what? Emos don't always cry, and not all of them cut themselves. Goths can be happy but they don't act like most preps I know (Preps, to me, are usually putzes in my point of veiw). Just because you fit into the category,mind you, it does not mean you have to be the stereotype of the group. Personally, alot of people leave me abashed by this misconduct and Gaia is only SUPPORTING IT. We do not need another reason to want to quit Gaia, because of poor thinking, but only of lack of interest and such! Some of us want to enjoy the site before they will have to part ways!

I have been on Gaia since 2004 and I thought everything but MC's would be free.
There need to be more MODs, MODs that care that is.

My original account is an '03er too and...well...while I agree with some of them, other comments just seem to be...about change.

I agree, gaia is focusing too much of its energy on money. But let's think of what it takes to run a system like this. There are so many users here. Gaia is going on its...what, 5-6th year? Do you know many websites that lasted that long?

Plus, we have to consider employees/artists need payment too and system maintenance.

Another thing, the cash cards are sometimes very handy. I know back in '03 (When I was...14-ish) I wouldn't be able to send money to them for DI (Donation Items) so I was forced to not do anything. Well, they've made it easier to get gold now-a-days....then again you have inflation. But the point is that there was only one way to get the good items back then too: Donation items.


Another point guys: GAIA IS A COMPANY. Sure they started out very slowly with not so much cash influence but they were struggling for a few years too.

I don't believe in focusing on all the bad things. There have been -really- good things that have come out of gaia.

I think...I actually hate this kind of talk. What are you trying to do? Do you -want- to discourage the artists? Do you want to discourage the creators? There's a delicate balance between production and Consumer-happiness.

Another thing: Gaia is free. I mean...I have several mules that are prospering WITHOUT money influence. So guys, really, you're still here aren't you? That must mean Gaia did SOMETHING right.

I completely agree with most of what you're saying.
I understand that somethings are out of their hands.
But the deal with bannings and pushing CS items instead of fixing things like green goo or word bump is completely true.
I find it stupid that I basicly payout every month to supposedly help make Gaia a better place and old bugs are not being fixed.
And banning people with really no reason other than I think is dumb.
I would be crushed if I got banned.
And pissed considering how much money Ive spent on this account.
I think their way of bringing about a ban needs to change cause Gaia is changing.
I like what you guys are doing here.
